She got off my lap and opened the door fully to let him walk in. He didn't even look at her, he looked only at me as Mia shut the door and leaned against it. "What the fuck is going on with the two of you?" We were both silent as we watched the floor. "Someone better start talking now or I'm calling Tony to tell him what I just watched happened."

"You saw what happened, I had a choice and I made it because no mission is worth letting a stranger put his hands on Mia."

"If it gets us where we need..." I immediately cut him off

"No, Mia is a part of this team and not an object for you to whore out to finish a mission. I will not allow her to be forced into anything like that ever and I will make damn sure she never goes on a mission with you again if you're so willing."

"You had three choices."

"Oh come on, is this a jealousy thing? We were working an angle, it only made sense for me to do it."

"Don't play it off like that, there is no way that was the first time you two have done anything together. That or you've been lusting after her and you took advantage of her tonight too."

I opened my mouth to speak but Mia already moved, knocked Steve's knees from under him, and was standing in front of him while the lights flickered. "No one took advantage of me tonight, Bucky ensured that. I did not and do not ever want you near me like that again. Plus the goal was for me to finish and you couldn't make me do that. I already knew Barnes could. No one and I mean no one on this team will ever take advantage of me because I will not allow it. I am not a weak woman who needs protecting or saving. Right now if I was you, I'd be hoping that someone is about to be your prince charming since your the damsel in God damn distress you fossilized prick. Who I keep in my bed is none of your business and it's none of Tony's either."

"Tony will disown you."

"Do you really think I care?"

"You should."

"Yeah well I don't but he's never gonna know because you're not going to say anything to him. If he does then Fury will know everything and I can guarantee he will remove you from this team. Are we clear?"

"Yes, we're clear."

She backed up from him until she was standing against my chest and I easily allowed her to. "I think you should go Steve."

"I'll keep my mouth shut but I want to know how long you've been together."

I mean I know what she said to him was correct but that didn't mean it didn't sting. "We're not together, it's just sex Steve. But it was after I decided I didn't want to date you so there was no overlap. Now kindly get out of my room, both of you." She demanded without looking at either of us

"I didn't do anything to you, why am I being kicked out."

"You know damn well why, I'll talk to everyone in the morning."

I waited for Steve to leave before I walked over to where she stood with her arms wrapped around herself and put my hand on her arm. "Don't push me away, just talk to me please." I pleaded

"I don't want to talk anymore.".

"Then we won't talk, we'll go get cleaned up and go to bed but don't kick me out."

"No, I want you to leave." She wouldn't look up, her eyes were trained on the ground

"Why are you mad at me?"

"I'm not mad at you Buck, I'm hurt." When she looked up and met my eyes I saw the tears in them, tears caused by me, and my heart almost broke. "Do you have any idea how it feels to be used for your body your entire life but have no one that truly wants you? I've tried so hard every day of my life but still, I'm not good enough for anyone. My mom wishes I was smarter or prettier or my dead brother. My dad wishes I was better behaved and the perfect quiet woman. You, you just want to fuck me. Natasha wants me to be like her. Pepper even wants me to be better behaved. Why am I not good enough?"
