I woke up the morning after my encounter with Bucky trying to remember if it was a dream or not. Just when I'd convinced myself it was a dream, I saw him in the kitchen and he just smirked at me. He watched my every move while Steve and Sam bickered about something. I tried to pretend I didn't feel his eyes burning into my skin but it was impossible. My cheeks felt like they were on fire so I must've been blushing. "Mia give us your opinion on something," Sam called
I crossed the room with my coffee to sit with them. "What opinion would you like? I have so many."
"There's no need to involve Mia." Steve countered
"You're just saying that because you know I'm right and she'll agree."
"So I'm just gonna start sharing opinions. Steve's pants are always too tight, you don't need to look like a human Dorito. Sam, you need a better hero name than flacon, like why a damn bird out of anything. And redwing is annoying as shit on missions."
"Thank you." Bucky practically yelled
"And Bucky stop pouting all the time, computers aren't supposed to be so grumpy. Has anyone tried unplugging him and plugging him back in?"
Sam busted out laughing and Steve looked at me confused. "When something stops working everyone tells you to unplug it and plug it back in, sometimes it fixes the problem," I explained but he still looked confused
"Steve thinks we should skip Tony's party he's throwing next week because he doesn't want to see someone there but I think it's a bad idea. He wants to go to a bar or something." Sam explained to me
"Who are you avoiding?"
"Sharon."
"I keep hearing about her but I've never even seen her, what's the issue?"
"She's got a thing for Steve and he doesn't know how to make her leave him alone."
"Just be upfront about it Stevey boy. The worst that can happen is she cries."
"Maybe, she's a little unhinged nowadays after losing her job after the whole accords debacle." Steve offered
"Why'd she lose her job?"
"For helping Steve and Sam." Bucky laughed
"We were helping you so really it's you're fault." Sam countered
"I'm sorry, what do you need my opinion on here gentlemen?"
"I think we should go and just tough it out because Sharon being annoying for one night is better than Tony being annoying for weeks. That and what beats a party in the building you live in, there's no DD needed." Sam told me
"So you say stay, Steve says go, and what about Bucky?"
"I think I don't want to do either so I don't have an opinion. Sharon isn't an issue for me like she is for Steve."
"You know as soon as Steve rejects her she'll be all over you too. She likes both of you."
"Am I missing something? Like does every girl look at these two and just swoon immediately then have to pick her favorite? What fucking book am I reading right now?"
I realized as soon as I said it that I'd done the same shit. Bucky smirked at me as I blushed and sat back in my seat. "Pretty much, yeah," Sam confirmed with a laugh
"So do you just get their rejects then Sammy?"
"Pretty much, yeah." Bucky mimicked Sam's answer
"This is why we shouldn't ask for other people's opinions because this is what we get." Steve sighed
