Claire's POV
I put Zealand's cake in the oven and sat down on the couch. Zealand jumped into my lap
"I'm 4" he said, holding 4 fingers up
"Yes baby boy, you are" I hugged him tight and playfully gave him lots of kisses as he giggled "I love you Zealand" I said and he turned to face me
"I love you Mommy" he said and kissed my cheek and I looked at my watch
"We have about an hour until Aunt Leen and Neo get here, do you want to open mine and Haven's present?" I ask him and he laughs
"Sissy can't buy me presents" he says
"She helped me pick it out" I told him and I give him the present. He rips it open and takes out his Jurassic Park play set
"Woah!" He says "thanks Mommy" he looks at Haven "thanks sissy" he says and she squeals.
I take out his cake and frost it. I hear the doorbell ring and I run to get it, but Zealand gets there first
"Hi Auntie Leen" he greets her with a hug
"Hi birthday boy" she says and kisses his cheek
"Hi Neo" Zealand says "look" he holds up his dinosaur set and Neo sits down and plays with him.
Eileen helps me set the table and I put 4 candles on Zealand's cake and light them.
"Zealand come sit" I tell him and he sits in front of the cake. We sing to him and he blows out his candles. I cut the cake and give a piece to Zealand and then to Neo while they play dinosaurs at the little table. I breastfeed Haven and set her in her baby bouncer next to me.
After cake, Eileen gives her and Neo's present to Zealand.
"That's from me" Neo says
"Hey I bought it" Eileen laughs and Zealand laughs and opens it. It was a dinosaur onesie and a dinosaur baseball cap.
"Ooo, I like it" he says, trying on the hat "thank you Auntie Leen and Neo" he says and hugs them.
After Eileen and Neo leave, I put Haven to bed and let Zealand stay up and watch TV with me. I put him on my lap
"How's it feel being 4?" I ask him and he shrugs
"It feels the same" he says and I smile
"Maybe not now, but it will" I tell him "just you wait"
"Ok Mommy" he says and hugs me
"I love you prince" I say
"Love you Mommy" he says and kisses my cheek and puts his head on my shoulder and falls asleep.
