Claire's POV
Today was PreK graduation for Zealand... Zealand's first graduation... My heart.
He got in his little blue robe and his little cap. He looked so handsome. I hated that my baby was getting older, but he was the cutest little boy in the whole world... I know every mom says that, but not every mom has met my son.
I helped him get ready, then I helped Haven get ready. I put her hair in 2 mini buns and put a little pink dress on her. I put black leggings on her and put her shoes on her. I called Eileen and told her I would meet her there and that Nolan was taking us there.
Nolan pulled up and I got Zealand and Haven in their car seats and got in the passenger seat. We drove to the preschool and saw Eileen and Neo outside and we all walked in. Neo and Zealand went to the back and we sat down and their teacher came out and welcomed us.
The kids came out and stood in a line as we clapped. She called everyone else up, then she called my baby
"Zealand Hayes is a very talented young boy" she says "he is very smart in his English and math" she says, handing him the prek diploma "here you go" she smiles at him and he takes a bow and I stand up
"That's my baby!" I yell and he waves to me and I blow a kiss. My son was so handsome on that stage. This is one of those mommy moments that you look back on in a few years and cry about, realizing your baby is gone.
"Ok, next we have Neo Rivers" she says and Neo steps up and Eileen claps. I laugh as I did the same thing
"That's my boy" she says and points to Neo
"Ok, well Neo is a very smart boy too, he was smarter in his English than anything else" she hands Neo his diploma and Neo bows. Eileen blows him a bunch of kisses and tears up. Our boys are growing up... They're growing up together which is all we wanted.
After the ceremony, the kids come up to us and show us their diploma
"I'm so proud of you" I say and hug him
"I'm proud of you too Neo" Eileen says and hugs her son too. I kiss his forehead and take a look on his diploma. Eileen looks at Neo's diploma "seriously?" She says and I stand up
"What?" I ask, taking Zealand's hand
"Look at this" she hands me Neo's diploma "they spelled his name wrong" I read it. It said Neo Rivers... With an I! I laughed
"Of course" I say and she crosses her arms
"Its not that hard" she says "it's just Neo... It's simple" she points out and I stop laughing
"Yeah, but it's not a common name" I say
"Neither is Zealand" she remarks and I nod
"Yeah, but they should know how to spell Zealand because of New Zealand" I tell her and she looks at the diploma again and scoffs
"So stupid" she rolls her eyes "come on Neo" she grabs his hand and brings him to the car
"Did I do some thing wrong?" Neo asks as she basically drags him to the car. She stops and bends down
"No, it's the teacher's fault, not yours" she assures him and he gets in the car and I just can't help but laugh as they leave.
