The next day, December 25th
Claire's POV
"Mommy" Zealand says as he gets in my bed
"What bubba?" I ask him and he lays down
"Is it Christmas today?" He asks and I roll over to face him
"Yes bubba, it's Christmas today" I tell him and he gets up
"Yay!" He gets off the bed
"Hold it, Mr." I say and he stops "wait until Haven gets up" I tell him and he crossed his arms
"But that could take all day" he says and I laugh
"No way she's gonna sleep all say" I smile and he puts his head down
"Its too long for me" he says and I smile
"The presents will wait for you bubba" I tell him and he runs back to my bed and gets in
"Can I wait with you Mommy?" He asks me and I nod and he curls up and I wrap my arms around him.
A little while later, I hear Haven yelling from the other room and I get up. Zealand gets up and follows me
"Is sissy awake?" He asks and I nod
"Yep" I open her bedroom door and turn the light on "well good morning princess" I say as I lift her up and out of the crib.
I change her diaper and bring her downstairs. Zealand grabs a present and starts ripping it open and I laugh as he gets so excited about to it. Haven starts taking the wrapping paper off hers and I didn't even have to help her. I think she liked the paper more than the present itself.
After all the presents are opened, I make them some breakfast and myself some breakfast and then I play with the kids until Nolan arrives. He walks in with a bag of presents
"Are you all ready to open some more presents?" Nolan asks as he drops the bag on the ground and Zealand starts taking the boxes out that has his name on it. Nolan bends down "ah ah ah, no present until I get a hug" he says and Zealand smiles and gives him a hug "precede" he says and Zealand rips open the gifts.
"So cool" Zealand says and runs away the toy and then Haven waddles in and starts looking in the bag
"Hey you little sneak" Nolan says and Haven looks up and smiles devilishly and Nolan smiles back "rules apply to everyone" Nolan reminds her and Haven gives him a big hug and a wet kiss on the cheek. Haven opens the present and starts playing with the paper around it. I laugh
"She's not even interested in the toys" I tell Nolan and he picks Haven up and makes her face him
"What do you think your doing, missy?" Nolan asks her and she giggles "youre supposed to play with the toy, not the wrapping paper" he tells her and she starts putting the paper in her mouth, then she puts some of her paper in his mouth "thank you" he says with a mouthful of paper and she laughs, then Nolan spits it out and Haven giggles some more. I laugh
"Taste good?" I ask Nolan and he shrugs
"Doesn't really have a taste" Nolan tells me and I smile
"That's good" I say and he nods and looks at Haven
"You, young lady, have good taste" he says and she just stares at him while shoving paper in her mouth.
