Claire's POV
"Come on baby, we're visiting daddy today" I tell Zealand as he hurries to finish his breakfast of strawberry oatmeal and peaches.
He climbs out of his highchair and Eileen puts his coat on after she puts Neo's shoes on. I put his dishes in the sink and help him put his shoes on.
I get Haven dressed in a white shirt and pink jacket with jeans and her pink boats. I put a pink bow headband on her and put her in her carseat. I buckle Zealand in his seat and then I buckle Haven's carseat in.
We drive over to the grave and I take a picnic blanket out of the trunk and set it on the ground. I take Zealand out and set him on the blanket and give him his toys and then I get Haven out of her car seat and set her on the blanket on her back.
Zealand starts playing with his dinosaurs and starts setting them up on Ezra's gravestone.
"Daddy, play with me" he says and I smile
"Why don't you play and let daddy rest" I tell him. I didn't want to tell him daddy couldn't play because his heart is already hurting, so I'll just use that excuse.
"I miss you, daddy" Zealand says and kisses the gravestone
"Remember, daddy's always with you" I remind him and he frowns
"But I can't see him" he says and I nod
"Because he's in your heart" I tell him and he points to his heart
"Daddy's here?" He asks and I nod and smile
"Yes, he'll always be there, because daddy loves you" I tell him and he nods
"Daddy loves me" he repeats and I smile
"He always will" I tell him and he smiles and hugs the stone
"I love you daddy" Zealand says
"Pack your dinos up, I'll get the picnic out" I tell him and he puts his dinosaurs in the car and I take the basket out from the trunk. I take out Zealand's PB&J and give it to him and then I take Neo's out and give it to him. I breastfeed Haven and she takes a nap for lunch.
After lunch, we pick up the trash and put the basket back in the trunk.
"Say bye bye to daddy" I tell Zealand and he runs back to the stone. He remembers which one was daddy. My eyes tear up and I wipe them away and put Haven in her carseat and put her in the car. Eileen buckles Neo in and I watch Zealand kiss Ezra's stone
"Bye bye daddy I love you" he says and runs back to the car. I buckle him in and we go back home.
