Claire's POV
I decided to have a yard sale. I went through Zealand's old clothes and put the ones he didn't wear in a give away box and the ones he didn't wear in a keep box. I called Eileen and she brought some of Neo's old clothes over.
I ended up giving away most of Zealand's clothes and kept some of the gender neutral ones for baby girl. I set some boxes outside and Eileen folded them up and put them on the while the boys played outside in the backyard
"You know what the boys would love?" I ask, watching the boys play with their toys in the empty backyard
"What?" Eileen asks, folding the clothes and watching the boys too
"Swings for the backyard" I tell her and she nods
"Yeah, may be we could use some of the money from the yard sale and get them a swing set" she says and I agree
"I'm sure they'd love it" I tell her and she smiles
"Neo loves playing on the swings at the playground" she says
"So does Zealand" I tell her.
After we set the clothes up and some of the boy's old toys up, we set up chairs and wait for customers. About 20 to 30 minutes of sitting outside, we have our first customer who has a little boy a little bit younger than Zealand with her.
She ends up buying an outfit for about 10 dollars and I put it in a small container from the kitchen. About an hour later, we didn't have any more customers and we give the boys lunch outside in the backyard and we were about to pack up when another lady comes by and asks if we were still selling and I nod. She buys some of Zealand's old shoes for about 12 dollars and a pair of socks for 4 dollars.
We make 26 dollars in our first yard sale. We split it and Eileen goes home and when Ezra comes home from work, I tell him about it. I pack up and bring all the clothes inside and in the living room for tomorrow.
