Ellie didn't like small spaces.

She loved them.

They were dark and quiet. They gave her comfort like nothing could hurt her in those spaces.

Except this one.

"When they come.. We have to be ready," Rick reminds, just to keep everyone hopeful.

Ellie and the others had followed the tracks and made it to Terminus. When they arrived, a nice lady offered them food. Right when Ellie was about to take a bite, Abraham mentioned DC and the Terminus people pulled their guns out.

When they finally got themselves free, Ellie, Maggie, Glenn, Sasha, Bob, Tara, Rosita, Eugene, and Abraham were in a train car.

Only a few hours later, the doors opened and Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Daryl walked in.

As soon as they regrouped, Rick snapped back into his old leader ways. Everyone was making their own makeshift weapons. Except for Ellie. She was told to sit back and keep watch in the crack of the door to see when they were coming.

"Anything, Ellie?" Michonne asks.

"No," she hums, craning her neck to see further, "Not even patrol people."

"That's fine. Keep working," Rick assures.

For a quick second, Ellie looks back to see what everyone was making. Glenn walks by her and she reaches out to grab his pant leg. She tugs on the fabric until he kneels beside her. Ellie turns her attention back outside.

"What is it, Ellie?" Glenn whispers, "Are you tired? Do you want me to take watch?"

"No. I just.. Something happened."

"What?"

Ellie bites her lip, reaching under her jacket and pulling out Matt's gun.

Glenn's eyes widen at the sight of a weapon. Why was she just now bringing it up?

"I don't think they thought I would have a gun 'cause I'm so young. They didn't take it."

"Okay.. um.." Glenn tries to figure this out.

Why was she telling him? It'd do better to tell Rick.

Then, a piece of Glenn softens. The fear in her eyes like she'd be in trouble.. She told Glenn because she trusted him. They were finally getting somewhere.

"Do you have any bullets?"

"Three," she nods, "Abraham gave 'em to me."

"Save it," he pats her back, "We'll need it for when we get out."

"You should take it."

She trusted Glenn enough to tell him about the gun and she trusted him to take Matt's gun? They were really making progress, Glenn might cry.

"Not yet. We don't know what's coming. I'll give you a signal, all right?"

"When we get out and I give it to you.." she sighs, putting the gun back in her waistband. "What weapon will I have?"

Glenn gives her a smile when she looks up at him. "I'll be your weapon, Ellie. I won't let anything happen to you."

Ellie nods and Glenn stands up. She turns her attention back to the door, staring, unblinking as she waited for a sign of life from the Terminus people.

"They're here. They're walking this way," Ellie calls. "Four guys. None of them are that Gareth guy."

"Y'all know what to do. Go for their eyes, then their throats," Rick orders as everyone gathers around.
