I couldn't sleep that night.

The next morning, I find myself by Glenn's grave once again. I wasn't alone, though. So was Rosita.

"I heard you were here to help train people," I note to Rosita.

Rosita eyes Abraham's grave warily. She gets a cold look in her eyes and looks away.

"You said I was the only one thinking clearly?" she recalls.

"You're the only one making moves. My mom is trying to prepare. Rick isn't doing shit. That Ezekiel guy won't even consider it."

Rosita taps her finger on her thigh a couple times. "Come with us."

"To do..?" I ask.

"Sasha and I. We're going to kill Negan."

Alarmed, I stand up right. "What?"

"We decided yesterday. We're gonna go. I have a gun. Sasha is taking the shot. You could go, too. You want to see him die, right?"

"My mom doesn't know about this," I suspect.

"Neither does Rick."

I look down to Glenn's grave.

Mom was hardly supposed to be walking around and lifting things. Let alone leading a war. Doctor Carson made it clear that it was dangerous with her injury.

If I helped.. mom wouldn't have to do anything at all. The three of us could get this done and be back like it never happened.

"Okay," I agree. "I'm in."

"Sasha is getting ready. You should hurry."

I nod and take off jogging to the trailer.

I burst into the trailer as Jesus and Sasha were talking.

"Hey.." Sasha mutters.

"Wait," I tell her, grabbing my bag.

"Ellie?" Jesus questions.

"Ellie, what are you doing?" Sasha asks.

I put dad's gun in my holster and swing my emergency backpack around my shoulders. I kept one like this since the farm, then prison. Communities, homes.. they fall. I had to always be ready to move.

"Rosita told me," I tell Sasha. "I'm going."

"Eleanor," Jesus calls, taking a step closer.

I pick up the weapon Earl made me. "I have to go."

"Your mom needs you."

"She needs to take it easy and rest. If I do this, she doesn't have to worry about Negan and his bullshit anymore. I'm helping you."

"Ellie, you're not going with us," Sasha argues.

"Yeah? And what will you do?" I challenge. "Tell my mom? Then the whole plan is down the drain."

"To stop you from going, I would," Sasha nods.

"No. You won't," I deny. "I'm coming with you. You need all the help you can get and I'm willing. I've been training. You're taking the shot. We'll be in and out no problem."

A loud bell rings through the air, followed by Kal's voice. "The Saviors are coming!"

The three of us jump, eyes widening all around.

"Come on, we gotta go," Sasha hurries.

She grabs my hand and Jesus opens the door. As he tries to argue, Sasha and I run away to the graves.
