Glenn could tell Maggie hadn't told Ellie.

Maybe.. Maybe she needed to hear it from him, though.

"You do still know that I'm not.. like.." he struggles. "Trying to be too much. I'm still respecting any boundaries you have set and-"

"You're not my dad," Ellie helps out.

Glenn wondered if that was venom or a laugh that lingered in her tone.

"Matt was- is my dad. You're not him. You know that and I know that. But.." Ellie sighs. "But, you are something to me."

"I am?" Glenn nearly cries.

Ellie laughs. "You help me out. You listen to me. You're always there.. You aren't him, but you're someone."

"So.. What am I?"

"You're.." Ellie ponders. "You're Glenn."

Glenn laughs.

"And that's what makes you so important to me. There's no other Glenn in my life. You're special."

"Well, you're my only Ellie. I think you're special, too," Glenn agrees.

"Cool. But.." Ellie hesitates.

"But what?"

Ellie purses her lips, rubbing them together nervously.

"Ellie?"

"My mom and dad were just kids.. I know they cared for each other but they didn't love-love each other. Not like you and her do now."

Glenn had no idea where this was going.

"Mom's been through a lot.. Before and after meeting you. But, she's been a better person since meeting you."

Tears were building once again in Glenn's eyes. 

"You're married and all.. I was just.."

Ellie goes silent again.

"Ellie?" Glenn pushes just a little.

"I was thinking about Josh and Anna a lot. Carl and Judith. Mom and Beth. Tyreese and Sasha.. I.. I kind of.."

"Kind of.." Glenn mumbles.

"I kind of want something.. like.. that.."

Glenn panics.

"Your mom is pregnant."

Ellie stops walking, snapping her head over to him. "What?"

Shit. Did he say that out loud? 

"Mom's pregnant?" Ellie asks.

"Uh.."

"Mom's pregnant?" Ellie repeats, grabbing Glenn's shirt.

"She.. I told her to tell you while we were out here.. I.."

"Mom's pregnant?" Ellie exclaims.

Glenn goes to shush her, fear of walkers always a thing. He couldn't even get his hand to his mouth in time as Ellie leaps into his arms in a big hug.

"I thought you were freaking out because of Nicholas! I thought you didn't want to talk to me because of all that!"

Glenn catches Ellie, shock overwhelming him. "No.. No, she.. We just found out. I mean, we thought for awhile but.. We only just found out for sure recently."

Ellie gasps, suddenly jerking out of the hug. "We gotta go!"

"Go?" Glenn dumbly repeats.

"We gotta go home! We gotta go!" Ellie grabs Glenn's hand, forcing him into a run.
