" I was top in the class a few months ago. I was developing my powers faster than any of the other students. Cole was jealous so he decided to trick me.
He tricked me into liking him and we became friends. I regret it but I had a huge crush on him. Maybe it was because I had the power of the sun and he had the power of fire.
One night he asked me to go on a date with him. I was very hesitant so he had someone persuade me. When we went on the date he was really nice and I hade a lot of fun. He asked me on another date and I willingly agreed.
On the next date we had a great time and he offered to walk me back to my dorm.
We stopped at an alley and I asked him why. He told me he needed to talk to me. I agreed hoping he would ask me to officially be his girlfriend. What he actually did was extremely different than what I expected.
He shot fire at me and threatened me. He told me I would not be allowed to be better than him in class or he would personally take care of me. I was horrified but I knew I had to agree. I left with slight burns but they healed quickly. I haven't learned much in class since that day in fear he would hurt me.
The problem is I know he could be good if he wanted to.
No one knows because I don't think they would believe me. You are the only person I trust."
