Once we are all in the shelter we begin talking.
"What if we die?" Cole says jokingly. I think he is joking.
"Shut up Coleslaw!" Sunny yells at him.
We all laugh except for "Coleslaw" who is glaring at Sunny.
"So hilarious," Cole says sarcastically.
While everyone continues to tease Cole I decide to read the paper.
The water gift is in your possession.
The project you have is long forgotten.
To stop the floods we have told you about.
You have never seen them until now.
Now you have seen what we can do.
Obey because our power is true.
Learn as swift as possible
Or the streets we have will be uncrossable.
The slower you go the more you will lose.
Stop the floods with the clues
The forest possesses
The moon will choose.
Place them on the stone
Let the sun shine down but never alone.
The fire will be by its side.
Beside the fire ice provides
The cold to freeze the wind that blows
Through the plants.
No time at all.
Stay within your galaxy
Beware of betrayal that the eye can't see
Or all will end drastically.I look up and notice everyone is staring at me.
"Are you okay?" Eliza asks.
"Yeah," I say slipping the note into my bag
"What was on that page?" Blake asks.
I reply "nothing."
"Sure," Cole says snatching the page from my bag. "There is nothing on it."
I look at the page and the whole prophesy poem thing is on it.
"Yeah I was just blanked out," I lie.
"There is something written here it just isn't in English," Blake says. His gift may just be really close to mine.
"I'm not stupid. Nothing is written here," Cole says.
Blake and Cole get into an argument about the paper but eventually Cole wins.
