"I'm so sorry! Was it bad?" I ask.
"No, there will probably be a bit of water damage on the wall and bedpost but it will be okay."
"Good."
"Do you want to go do something?" Ivy asks.
"Sure."
"Do you want to call Sunny and Eliza and see if they want to go shopping?" She asks.
"Yeah!"
We call them and they both want to go. We go to the mall. Sunny is no longer covered in paint.
"Where do you want to start?" Eliza asks.
"LeBron James," Ivy says.
"That's not a store," I reply.
"Okay, Aeropostle," she says.
We shop there for a while. And Ivy bought 4 things.
Sunny sighs, "You are going to run out of money. Slow down."
"Okay mom."
Sunny just shakes her head. The next store we go to is hot topic. This was suggested by Eliza and Sunny. They immediately go to the Doctor Who section.
"Ivy, how are things with you and Kyle?" I ask.
"Great! We get along so well."
"That's great!"
We finish shopping and go to the food court to eat. After we get our food we sit and talk.
"Sometimes I'm still scared Skylar will come back." Sunny says.
"Aren't we all?" I ask, "we will be fine. She won't unless we all say it is okay. Why would we do that?"
"I feel like she haunts my dreams sometimes," Eliza admits. She touches the scar on her face.
"Me too," Ivy says.
Sunny avoids eye contact, "I've talked to Cole. He said before she took control of him at detention she did what she did to us. She told him his fears but his circumstance was worse. His became real."
"Let's talk about something else. This is getting depressing," Eliza suggests.
"What happened in detention?" Ivy asks.
"Mr. Edge yelled at us for 'immaturity'. Cole stood up to him and now we get one more day. At this point Mr. Edge has run out of assignments and we are writing essays about topics of our choice. From what I've seen, Cole is being a total smart aleck."
"That's a surprise," I say sarcastically.
