A few weeks later we are all out of the infirmary. I get a group text from Cole to Sunny,Eliza, Ivy, Kyle, Blake, and I. It says:
Paintball war at 5:15. Come to the park if you're brave.
Usually I would not trust him but that sounds really fun. I show up at the time. Everyone is already there. There is s huge pile of paintball guns on the ground.
"Split into a red and blue team," Cole says
Kyle, Blake, Ivy and I are on the blue team and Sunny, Eliza and Cole are on the red team.
"What are the rules?" Ivy asks.
"Try not to get hit," Cole says, "3 2 1!"
I get shot in the stomach. "Ow!"
Sunny begins laughing. I shoot her back. A bright green splatter appears on her arm. I see a paintball fly past me and hit Blake. Eliza shot it towards him. After about 15 minutes we realize we can use our gifts. Ivy blocks paintballs with vines. Eliza and Blake freeze them. Sunny and Cole vaporize them. And Kyle blows them away. I still don't know what to do. They will fly through a wall of water.
A splat of purple appears on thigh. Cole hit me. I shoot back but he vaporizes it. We keep shooting. Sunny gets hit in the cheek and starts yelling at Cole.
"What was that for?! We are on the same team!"
I use this as an advantage and fire two at them. This was a bad idea. I get shot by both of them. They start laughing and high five each other. I hear Kyle yell.
"You shouldn't have done that Ivy!"
She screams as he chases after her. A while later we all stop and sit under a tree. I decide to talk about the prophesy.
"Guys we need to do this prophesy thing soon."
"What about next week?" Ivy asks.
"That's fine with Sunny and I," Cole says.
"Same with Kyle and I," Ivy says.
Eliza agrees, "Me too."
"Yep," says Blake.
"You guys are the best" I say.
"Crap! Cole we have detention," Sunny says checking her phone.
"We can't be late! Bye guys!" Cole yells. He grabs all of the paintball guns and almost falls over from the weight.
And the two leave.
