I wake up in a cold sweat. My nightmares were terrible. I look at the clock and it is 3:18 in the morning. I hear sounds coming from the hall. I sneak outside without waking Ivy. I am surprised to see Eliza in the hall reading.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
She seems startled. " I couldn't sleep."
"What are you reading?"
"Just some adventure novel," she says.
"Do you realize what time it is?" I ask her.
"3:22 am and 46 seconds," she says with a confident voice.
"You should probably get to sleep." I tell her.
"I guess."
"You don't seem okay. What happened?" I ask her.
She sighs, "I had a dream Skylar betrayed me. I know it's stupid but it scared me. She would never do that. She's too nice."
"Yeah. Well you should get to sleep."
"Okay," she says standing up.
"See you tomorrow I mean today," I say.
"Why are you up?" She asks me.
"Same as you: nightmares," I say.
The next morning I wake up in my bed. We don't have school today. I get ready for the day and when I go outside into the hallway I see Ivy is talking to Sunny.
"Hey guys. What's up," I ask?
"Ivy just apologized for fighting about Sebastian," Sunny says.
"So you don't hate each other anymore?" I ask.
"For now," Ivy smiles.
Right then Cole comes over to us. "Hey girls."
"Hey Coleslaw the cheater," Sunny says.
"Hey Sunny the tattletale," he replied with a smirk.
"Hey lovebirds," Ivy says.
"NO!" They yell in unison. They look at each other and laugh.
"You owe me a soda," Cole says.
"Get your own stupid soda," Sunny says.
"When did you become sassy?" I ask her.
"Probably when I started having to put up with Cole."
