After we think Sebastian is done asking we start to walk to Sunny's dorm. We stop in the hallway when we see them.
She is smiling. "Yes!" She yells excitedly. She hugs him. He looks surprised.
"I think she is exited," I whisper to Ivy.
Sebastian looks at us and smiles.
"Success," I think.
Sunny and Sebastian will be perfect together.
The next day we have class.
I am almost late for Mr. Edge's class. I make it on time. I notice Sebastian is in our class as well. I did not even know he existed until yesterday.
Class starts and we talk about the origin of the gifts. The gifts are genetic but the trait is very rare. It's kind of a sub-allele. There isn't an allele for having powers and another one for not having powers. There is an allele for not getting sunburnt or being more resistant to the cold. There is a
sub-allele of having powers. The original allele evolved over time creating the sub allele that gives powers. Most of the traits only show up every few decades. There are some traits that don't show up for centuries like the gift of the water. Gifts are a blessing but can also be a curse if you don't know how to control them.
After our discussion and loads of questions. The bell rings and we go to Mrs. Ingrid's class. Sunny has improved a bit. She makes light and is able to control it longer than usual.
Mrs. Ingrid smiles "Sunny that was great. You seem more confident. What have you been doing recently?"
"Nothing, just practicing." Sunny replies.
We know she feels more confident because she knows Sebastian likes her. She knows someone cares for her and won't betray her. She loves someone and they love her back.
