Chapter 11: Hell At Our Gates

"Princess, it's time to get up" Ava opens her eyes and sees Kai smiling at her. She pulls the blanket over her head, "Come Ava, get up". "No" she replied, Kai sighs and pulls the blanket off her cold naked body. "Ugh, why do I have to get up?" Ava asked, "Because we are way behind training you and because we have a Gala to attend". "But I don't want to" Ava wines, "Well that's too bad because you will go either by choice or force" Kai stated.

"Ugh!" Ava gets up and hops in the shower. She finishes her routine and heads over to her closet with an outfit already in mind, Kai enters the room and sets his sight on the beautiful woman standing before him. "You know, you have to stop seducing me with your body before training" he says, "Aww, and I was trying so hard not to" Ava and Kai were going in for a kiss but then Ermani came in through the door, "Hey Ermani" Ava greeted. "Hey Ava, Kai can I talk to you for a second?", "Yeah man, Ava heads over to the training center. I'll be with you in a second" Kai says, "Okay".

Ava leaves the room and closes the door, "Hey man, what's up". "It's about the Gala, there are rumors that Ludriel and some of his men will be there" Ermani revealed, "Okay, gather some men to attend the Gala with us, If Ludriel's gonna be there then something tells me that they're up to nothing good" Kai proposed.

"Okay I'll get right on it, hey a tip if I may say?" Ermani suggests, "What?". "You and Ava need to stop being so loud at night while fucking each other". "That's our business" Kai said, "Yeah, then you're gonna be the one paying for my therapy" Ermani exits the room and heads to the Bratva room while Kai heads to the training center. He opens the door and sees Ava toying with the weapons.

"Hey, what did Ermani want to talk about?" Ava asked, "Well, Ludriel is gonna attend the Gala". "Do you know why?, "No, but you won't have anything to worry about, I'll be there to protect you" Kai reassured. "Okay, so what are you gonna teach me today?", "I will be teaching you how to block attacks, it's the best way for you to protect yourself", "Lame" Ava says. Kai began teaching Ava the best ways to protect herself,30 minutes passed by. "Again" Kai said, "We've been doing this nonstop for half an hour" Ava whined. "Yeah, and you're not getting any better. You're rushing it, you need to slow down and aim" Kai explains.

Ava and Kai position themselves to spar again, this time Ava slows down and does exactly as Kai said, she slows down, blocks his punch, and hits him in the face. "I did it!" Ava exclaims, "See, now you won't be so weak" Kai walks over to the work out bench and checks his phone. "Shit, the Gala starts in an hour, we need to go get ready" he says.

"Okay, race ya to the shower" Ava said, Kai and Ava sprinted out of the training center and up the stairs but as usual, Kai was too slow. Ava comes out of the shower and looks in her closet for the perfect outfit with Kai doing the same thing.

They both exit their room and make their way to the Limousine. After a couple of minutes of driving, they pull up to this big mansion where the Gala is being held. They enter the mansion and see a couple of people talking and dancing. "Champagne?" a waiter asked, Ava and Kai took a glass of champagne and walk across the dancefloor to the other side of the room. "Ava, I have a surprise for you" Kai pointed towards the balcony and Ava's eyes lit up with joy, "Leslie!?". Leslie and Luke make their way from the balcony and over to Ava and Kai. Leslie greets Ava with a huge bear hug, "Ava! I haven't seen you in so long!" Leslie says. "I know, how are you" Ava questions, "I'm doing good, wow you look so beautiful". "The same thing goes for you", "Leslie." Kai says.

"Kai, still looking like shit I see" Leslie comments, "Guys, please don't start fighting" Before Ava could say anything else, a tall dark figure approaches them, Ava looks at Kai and sees him with pure anger in his eyes. "Mr.Varnava, what a pleasant surprise" the man said.

"Ludriel," Kai says.
