Chapter 31: Ready

It has been a month since Kai made his promise to train Ava to be her best, he has been keeping his promise that whole time. Kai trained Ava on how to use a gun, how to defend herself, how to detect poison in anything, and how to sense anyone's presence. "Okay Let's try something different, I am gonna blindfold you and you have to avoid all of my attacks" Kai says, "Okay, but don't hold back this time" Ava replies. "I don't plan to", "Good".

Kai blindfolds Ava and they both get in their position. Kai then sprints at Ava, Ava then slides out the way and hits Kai in his face. Kai then pulls out a gun and shoots it at Ava, and she then flips out of the way and into the air. While in mid-air she takes a knife out of her bra and throws it at Kai, the knife lightly grazes Kai's cheek, and Ava then lands on both legs. "Are you gonna bring it or what?" Ava teases, "Okay don't say I didn't warn ya, this time let's use weapons" Kai suggests.

Kai hands Ava a sword while he uses a bow and arrow. Kai then fires an arrow at Ava but Ava manages to use the sword and hit the arrow out of the way. Kai then began firing more arrows at Ava rapidly but Ava deflected with the sword. Ava charges at Kai while deflecting the arrow and when Ava was close to Kai she jumps up and jabs the sword at Kai's head but Kai rolls out of the way. While Ava's distracted Kai takes the opportunity and fires another Arrow, the arrow ends up hitting Ava's leg. "Ow, shit", Kai then rushes over to Ava. "Are you okay?" He asked very concerningly, "Yeah". Ava then quickly grabs Kai's head and throws him over her shoulder and onto the ground, she plucks the arrow out of her leg and is about to stab Kai, but she stops right above his eyes. "Never underestimate your opponent even if it's someone you care about because in a blink of an eye you can die, you taught me that" Ava phrased.

"Good at least I taught you something but-" Kai quickly hits the arrow out of Ava's hand and flips her over so that he's straddling her, he quickly pulls out a gun and holds it to her face. "Don't forget I am still the captain of this ship" Kai states, "Aye captain" Ava mocks. Kai lets out a chuckle, gets off Ava then helps her up, "You need to get that checked out in the med bay but otherwise from that, I think you're ready", "Yeah, ready for what?
