Chapter 22: In The Club

After what Ludriel did everyone went back into the building to see if he was still there, but he wasn't. Ava, Kai, Luke, Leslie, and Ermani went back to Kai's office to discuss what they will do next. "What are we gonna do? Obviously, Ludriel is not gonna stop" he says, "I'll see if I can use some of the resources we have, I have a couple of people who owe me, so I'll cash them in" Ermani suggested."Okay great, Luke tells the men to be on high alert and to keep a sharp eye on the premises" Kai orders, "Okay" Luke replied. Luke and Ermani then leave the room. "Okay what now?" Leslie questioned, "Well, I have to get back to work" Ava says. "Ok but be careful, I'll send a couple of people to keep an eye on you" Kai commented, "Okay, I'll talk to you later". Ava gives Kai a goodbye kiss before leaving with Leslie. It was now night and Ava got to work while Leslie stayed home, Ava was dressed in her work uniform."Hi I'm Ava and I'll be serving you, what will you be having tonight?", "I'll have some whiskey on rocks and some vodka of your choice," the guy says. "Okay coming right up" Ava leaves the table and goes to collect their order; a couple of minutes pass and Ava returns to the table and hands the man his drink."Okay here we go, do you need anything else?" she asked, "Yeah, how about your number" the guy inquired. "Sorry but I'm already seeing someone" Ava kindly declined, "He doesn't gotta know". A voice creeps up behind Ava and says "She said she's not interested", Ava then realizes that it was Kai, Kai then goes and sits down in the booth across from the man."And who are you?" the guy asks, Kai then puts his hands under Ava's skirt, grabs her waist, and pulls her closer to him, "I'm the guy responsible for her orgasms, Aka her boyfriend" Ava then looks away and blushes. "I could do better" the man claims, "Yeah, I doubt that" Kai retorts. " You think you're more man enough than me?", Kai then pulls out a gun from his waist and lays it on the table, " I don't think so, I know so". "Is that gun supposed to scare me," the guy scoffs, "No, these men are". Three huge men walk up to the table, "Whatever". " Mhm, princess, follow me," Kai suggested.Kai then gets up and Ava follows behind him away from the table and over to a private section of the club, Kai and Ava then sit down in the booth. "It's great to see you but what are you doing here?" Ava asks, " I was bored so I thought instead of sending men to protect you, I would come to watch you myself". "Yeah, but I have to worK", "No need to, I bought out the club for the night so you don't have to worry, you can get drunk and enjoy the rest of your night" Kai reveals."Great!". Hours pass by and Ava drinks dozens of alcoholic beverages, she was definitely buzzed.Ava goes to the dance floor and dances away as Kai watches her, Kai then goes over to Ava. "Hey", "Hey! I'm having the greatest time of my life!" Ava exclaims. "That's great but we have to get you home," Kai announced. 'No! Why?" Ava pouted, "Because you tend to make bad decisions when you're drunk". "No, I don't" Ava retorted, "Either way, we are going home" Kai says."Okay", Kai then carries Ava to the car, buckled her in, and drives off, while Kai drives, Ava starts to hum a tune. "What are you singing?" Kai questioned, "Cheer up baby don't you cry, no more tears it's cheer up time, laugh with me and you will be happy, happy, happy!". "Okay, keep singing" Kai encouraged, Ava kept on singing that same tune, Ava then put her hand on Kai's leg and kept on singing. "Ava no, you're not doing this again", Ava kept on singing with her hand on Kai's leg, they pulled up to the house and parked the car. Kai then picks up Ava and carries her into the house bridal style. Kai then puts her on the bed, Ava then stares at Kai."What?" He asked, "You're weak" Ava whispers. "Ava you're drunk and I'm not about to do this with you", "You're saying that because you're scared of me" Ava taunted. "Believe me, I'm not" Kai responded, Ava then pulls Kai down and gets on top of him, "I can take you down one-handed"."Oh yeah?", Kai then flips Ava around and uses one hand to pin both her hands down. "You look so pretty beneath me, unfortunately, you can't guilt-trip me into fucking you" Kai then grabs the blanket and puts it over Ava's body, he then kisses Ava on the head, "Goodnight, Darling"."Aren't you staying with me?" Ava asked, "Fine, I'll stay". Kai then takes off his suit and hops into the bed and cuddles Ava, they both slowly fall asleep in each other's embrace.
