Chapter 4: Revenge

After what seems to be forever, Ava wakes up with a huge smirk on her face, and that is the smirk of revenge. She hops out of bed and gets in the shower. She came out after a few minutes and tried a couple of outfits, but then she found the perfect one. “Hey babe, what are you doing up so early?” Kai questions, “We were invited to Andrew’s party”. “Okay, but you're not going out in that outfit”, “And why the hell not?” Ava interrogated. “Because it’s showing too much,” Kai explains.

“Okay, I’m still wearing this” Ava retorts, “No, you’re not”. “Say who?” she argued, “Says me” Kai stated. “Well in that case I’m definitely wearing it”, “Whatever” Kai responded. Ava and Kai got ready for the party and headed downstairs, “Ugh what took you guys so long?” Leslie clashed. “What do you mean?” Kai asks, “I need a ride to Andrew’s party”. “You were invited?” he questions, “Yeah obviously,”. “Okay I don't care, get your own ride” Kai professes. “LAST ONE TO THE CAR IS A ROTTEN EGG!” Leslie announced, “Wait what?”. Ava and Leslie sprinted out the door and then towards the car. Kai finally makes it into the car, and they continue to their destination.

They arrived at Andrew's house and entered; it was loaded with people dancing and drinking. Ava and Kai pushed their way through the crowd and made their way into the kitchen where they met up with Andrew. “Sup dudes, I'm glad you could make it. Make yourself at home, Mi casa es tu casa” He said. Ava and Kai had a few drinks and convos with other friends.

“Hey Ava, come play beer pong with us” Andrew said, “Okay, I’ll be right back, Kai”, “Mhm” Kai replied. After a few minutes, Ava was buzzed, or that's what everyone thinks. She’s pretending to be drunk because she knows how to handle beer like a bad bitch and because she wants revenge. Ava then began to flirt with Andrew, she noticed Kai watching from afar, he seemed pretty mad.

“Hey, Andrew. Let’s hit the dance floor” Ava suggested, “ Yeah!”. Ava and Andrew went to the middle of the dancefloor. They began dancing together and getting a little too close. Ava looks around the crowd for Kai but then spots him still in the kitchen, watching with a tight grip around his cup. Ava then gave Kai a smirk and continued dancing. Kai takes one last swig of his drink and marches over to them. Kai then grabs Ava and pulls her out of the house and into the car. Kai drove off in the direction of their home. A couple of minutes into the ride was silent.

“Kai..”, “Save it” He responded coldly. “Okay but we forgot Leslie back there, how is she gonna get home?” Ava inquired, “She’ll probably follow some dude home, either way I don’t care”. Ava and Kai sat in silence the rest of the ride home. Kai got out of the car and slammed the door, he got over to Ava and dragged her out into the house and their room.

“Ah, what the fuck is wrong with you?” Ava shrieked, “Come on, I know you aren’t drunk” Kai replied. “What are you talking about?” Ava asked cluelessly, “The next thing that should come out of your mouth is the truth” Kai warned. Ava then looks away from Kai, “Look at me”. Ava still looks away. Kai then grabs Ava's chin and makes her look up at him, “The truth, now! before I get really mad”.

“No fuck that, and fuck you. You don't, won't, and can't control me or what I do. Besides, what I did tonight was revenge for what you did yesterday.” Ava stated, “Whatever”. Ava and Kai then go to bed with their backs turned against each other.
