Mera donned a white dragon scaled leather overcoat with silver thread as her own mount had been embroidered on. Weapons were strapped to her and her mask hanged under her chin as she glared out at the sunset.

Mera narrowed her eyes, playing with the locket as Alys offered her the cup. "Was he upset? What did he think?"

"It doesn't matter what he thinks."

She didn't wish to speak about her personal problems anymore considering the fact that Mera wasn't inclined to let Alys know that part of her. Her private life was privy to her and her only.

She cleared her throat and cracked the knuckles of her thumbs. "You're coming with me I assume."

"I already established myself at Harrenhal. In fact before you, I stayed there for three hun...three years. But no, not yet...I give it...two and a half weeks."

Mera finished her cup before setting it aside, running her hand across her gelled pin up hair. She sighed, rubbing her eyes as she then pursed her lips. "Did they saddle her yet?"

"Yes. I also heard she had a new clutch."

A new clutch, she smirked as she held back a laugh. "Tidebreaker has always been...in heat."

"As has her rider," Alys mumbled as she cleaned up her tea tray. She then turned and leaned onto her table as she squinted. "You came here four years ago...not knowing anything and now your off to finish your last mission. Time flies."

"Don't go all melodramatic on me Al. You were also Mistress of Weapons and Defense four years ago." Mera looked over her shoulder at her before waving her off as she leaned onto the balustrade. The sun was nearly gone and she would have been as well.

Westeros, that cursed placed she had not seen in years had now rammed itself back into her world. Those thoughts and memories were grey as she didn't remember much of her childhood except the small details of her depressing life and like anyone, Mera wished to forget them.

She sighed, resting her head in her hands as she felt herself so heavy as of late. Her weapons weighed her down and her body felt worn and tired. Mera just wished for peace a little while longer before she had to throw herself back into her chaos.

"It's time Mera. It's time to grow up and fight your demons."

Mera bit the inside of her cheek before humming, "I thought I grew up too soon."

"Perhaps," Alys said as she stared into the nothingness, "But we're all children in one way or another. We all seek the warmth childhood once gave us, drawing our minds, our bodies to those who remind us of it. It's no shame to admit it...we're only human."

Human. How funny.

Mera nodded before feeling a burn in her hand. She fisted it tightly to keep from feeling the pain, only for it to grow as she forced herself to not make a sound. Gosh what the hell was happening now? She closed her eyes, trying to ignore the buzzing pain as she clenched her jaw down.

"Miss?"

Alys turned as a servant walked over. "It's time for her to go."

"Right, she'll be right there."

Mera opened her eyes, the pain subsiding as she turned and nodded, "I'll see you soon Alys." Her mentor nodded, walking over and placing a kiss on her cheek as she looked at her with sincerity. "Until next time darling."

Mera nodded and turned, leaving as she grabbed her hair scarf. The halls of the compound were deathly quiet with not a single soul teeming the ground. Her avox leader stood there with a small silver box as she walked over and opened it.
