ANTHONY
"Lisa?" We had been calling for her for about an hour. She was nowhere to be found.
"That can not be true! Where can she be?" Liam shouted angrily.
I felt sorry for him. His sister had disappeared. Must have been a terrible feeling.
"I hope nothing happened to her." Rylie looked around desperately. It was nice that she helped us. When she saw how ready Liam was, she put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, don't worry. We will find her. Even if it will take hours. We'll find her, I promise." She smiled warmly at Elijah.
That was exactly what I had been missing all these years. Rylie had always been like this. Kind-hearted, loving and always there for you. I really missed her. Liam looked over at her and gave her a small smile.
"Hopefully."
"Maybe we should split up. This way we will create more space. Since Liam is pretty exhausted I would send you with him. Would that be okay?" I asked Rylie. She nodded.
"Sure. I will stay with him."
"Thanks."
At the end of the street we split up. I went left on the street and Rylie and Liam went on the right.
"I hope I find her." I muttered to myself.
I should have been there for her more. I know that... I was just confused. I'm not anymore, but at the time I just couldn't think clearly and I avoided her before I did something wrong.
It was better. Now I just wanted to find her and hug her. I've grown very fond of her in the short time she's had. I can understand Jennie why she loves her.
"Oh, young man. Could you help me?" I looked up from the floor, confused.
An old lady stood directly in front of me, cane in her left hand and a shopping bag in her right.
"The two apples fell down. As soon as one fell down, the other one fell too. Like a chain reaction." I nodded and picked up both apples.
"Here." I put the two apples back in the bag and smiled at the old lady.
"Thank you so much, boy." She walked past me smiling before disappearing around a corner.
"Chain reaction... if one falls, the other falls too." I muttered to myself.
The lady had triggered something in me. It got me thinking...
LIAM
"Lisa?!" I shouted through the streets. My voice was starting to stop working. I kept screaming her name through the streets.
Rylie's company was good for me when I was tense. She called out to her and supported me when I was about to give up.
"If we don't find her in half an hour we should go back. Maybe she really was just out for a walk and is already back." I nodded. She was right.
Sometimes Lisa was just Lisa and eventually came home.
"Okay, then we'll look for another half hour and then we'll go home. Maybe Anthony noticed something too." But nothing. Even after half an hour there was no sign of Lisa and so we started our way back...
When I got home, I quickly unlocked the door and walked quickly into the hallway.
"Lisa?"
"She is not here." I heard Anthony say.
"I also had the idea that she could be here but unfortunately she isn't here." I hung my head.
"Crap..." Rylie took off her jacket and shoes before heading into the kitchen.
"Now some tea. Liam? Can you show me everything?" I followed her and nodded.
"Yes, I can help you."
When the tea was finished brewing, we went into the living room with 3 cups.
"We'll calm down and think for now. Maybe she's staying with someone or she's just lost. We just can't be too hasty." Anthony nodded.
"Rylie's right. We need to think carefully first."
The front door opened, making us all turn around. My hope that Lisa would enter was dashed when Bella's voice could be heard.
"Yes, that was just great! We should do it again."
"Oh, look who's back." I said mockingly.
"So how was your walk? Did you even go for a walk or did you jump into the nearest bushes and fuck?" I asked again mockingly.
"No, but we had a really great walk." She laughed and approached Rylie.
"Anthony, can you help me upstairs?" Jennie asked Anthony. He nodded immediately and followed her.
Perfect. Now I was in the same room with the fuckers.
