LISA

"Forget it!"

"Lisa..."

"No, don't start with 'Lisa'!"

"It's just a motorcycle."

For what felt like hours, Jennie tried to get me onto this monstrous vehicle, but I refused. How did she come up with the idea in the first place?

"Lisa, please. I promise nothing will happen. You get a helmet and I've been riding on and off for the past 4 years. Your dad organized it and-"

Typical my father. He knew how to tease me and after all this stress he did it anyway? Maybe he should know that I was a bit scared of motorcycles, they just looked unsafe and I was kinda... kinda scared that they might kill me, not like a normal person come into your room with a knife and kill you in cold blood. No, I meant more like killing if I sat on it or got caught in front of it.

"Jennie... I'm not sure. What about our suitcases anyway??"

"Please, Lalisa. I can't find anything quickly and we should come to a safe room. The suitcases will be brought to us there. I've arranged everything."

"Don't kill me." I spoke seriously before I let her give me the helmet.

"It would probably make everything a little easier, but then my effort would have been in vain." A small smile crept across her lips showing her perfect teeth.

"Just stop with your stupid gummy smile." I said slightly snappy and narrowed my eyes.

"So you say gummy smile..."

"Your ego is incredible."

"I know I'm incredible." Without letting me counter her, she patted the seat behind her and smiled.

"Get on, or do you want to get shot any moment?"

My breath caught briefly, but I recovered my composure and slowly climbed onto the bike, trying to touch her body as little as possible.

"Where do you want to hold on? To the air?" Jennie laughed lightly as she watched my attempt.

"Come on, grab my waist."

I wrapped my hands around her in confusion, but it was more like a cloak that I didn't touch.

"You're funny sometimes, Manoban."

Without inhibition she grabbed both my hands and clasped them to her body. I immediately felt the six-pack under the loose shirt. The heat enveloped me and the blush rose.

"Don't tell me you blushed back there?"

"Nonsense! What are you imagining?"

A small laugh was heard before the engine revved up and startled me.

"Hold on, Lali."

Easier said than done as this thing took quite a toll on my power as she started to shift up.

Basically it wasn't as bad as I thought, on the contrary, it was fun and slowly made the adrenaline in me come out. Although some curves were quite risky, I somehow felt like I could trust her. That's what my feelings told me and I usually listened to that.

Jennie concentrated extensively on the road, which is why I watched her with interest, her gaze was fixed on the road, not even a twitch could be seen on her part.

Through the wind I suddenly felt her smell in my nose, a mixture of vanilla and strawberry. It smelled bloody good, frankly, and basically gave me a dizzy spell.

How could someone smell so good?

"Everything okay back there?"

"Yes, I'm doing great." I laughed a little through the adrenaline.

"Good, then hold on tighter."

Before I could react, she was driving down the freeway at full speed. My throat only let out a scream. In order not to have to fight against the wind, I hid myself further behind Jennie and accordingly had to hold on tighter. However, in this case it didn't really matter to me, because I'd rather involuntarily hold on to her instead of falling down here.

When we pulled off the freeway, it was only 5 minutes until we arrived at a hotel, it looked damn awful and made me sigh briefly.

"Get off, Lali."

"Shut up and don't tell me what to do."

She rolled her eyes and laughed briefly. Together we went to the rather uninviting hotel, aimed at the woman at the reception.

"Jennie Kim." Jennie spoke sternly and in a rather deep voice.

The woman nodded and typed something, probably Jennie's name, before getting up and walking to the keys behind her.

"Room 506." Jennie nodded shortly before she took our things and went to the elevator.

"We have to share a room??"

Jennie shrugged, but remained silent. I sighed a bit annoyed and looked in the mirror covering the elevator.

I looked pretty beat up, had dark circles under my eyes, my hair was messy and my paleness was showing. While Jennie still looked good despite having slept significantly less and used more energy.

The elevator made a noise and opened the doors. Together we walked to the door before it unlocked. I was expecting a burned down room, but it was clearly different from what I expected.

"Oh, holy shit."

The room looked like a palace if you could describe it that way, it was nice and bright, not like the facade from the outside.

"Did you really think your father would let you sleep in a rundown shack?" She said a little smiley.

"You never know with him."

I could have expected anything, the only reason I always got everything back then was just because he wanted to apologize for his cold heart. He had changed in the meantime, but I was aware that people will never change like this, no matter how you hope. Inside they stay the way they are and usually you just make it worse.

I jumped onto one of the two beds and felt the fabric against my skin.

"I'm going to take a shower now, don't do anything stupid."

"Yeah yeah."

She disappeared from the room into the bathroom and left me alone. Sometimes I really wondered if she thought I was 6.
