Chapter 36 part 3

Mariam's POV:

I ran up to Shay quickly and I held his face in my hands. He had a huge bruise on the side of his cheek and there was dried up blood on his neck. He closed his eyes in pain when I ran my fingers across his cheek.

"Shay." I said softly as I held his hands and let go of his face.

"Mariam? I don't feel so good." He said and he tightened his Hold on my hand.

"Someone help me, he is hurt!" I yelled and within seconds Greg and Sam helped Shay into one of the rooms next to Ahmad's.

"What's happened to him?" A nurse asked me and I shook my head.

"I don't know, he just showed up here all bloody and bruised. He said that he didn't feel good. I thought he wa a going to pass out." I explained to her quickly. I put a hand to my heart to try and calm it down.

"Okay, Mariam I think that was your name, you just calm down and take a seat while we do everything we can to help him." She said and I took a seat on the couch across from his room.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys, Ahmad woke up and he is just resting now. You would think after he was asleep for a day, he would be fully awake. Ayah is in his room and I didn't want to invade their privacy. Critistina left to go take a bath and rest.

Greg and Sam are here. Greg has been here with us the whole time. Diego went home to rest and Sam came in his place. Ramzi, I have no clue what he's doing. I hope he's okay.

The nurse came out and she had her head down. I immediately got up and grabbed her shoulders. She wasn't saying anything, that worried me.

"How is he?!" I asked and she didn't respond.

"He's stable, b-but I gave him medicine to r-rest." She stuttered and walked away from me.

I feel like she's lying. I walked into his room and he was laying there, asleep. They put an IV on his arm and all you could hear was the beeping of the machine. He looked lifeless. I wiped a tear and took a deep breath. Why is all this happening to me?

I took a seat next to him and grabbed his hand. I moved his hair away from his forehead and then pulled back.

A lot has happened in the last two days and I chat even think straight. I have Shay on one side and then Ramzi and Ahmad on the other. I know Chase is doing all this. The only solution would be to just give in to him.

If he wants me, then I guess I should just surrender to him. No one would be hurt after that.
