"How are you feeling, babe?" Your best friend asked as you looked at yourself in the mirror. To say that you were nervous was an understatement, you were terrified even though you had no reason to be. You knew it would be fine. But your legs were so shaky, you felt like they were going to give up under you when you walked. Your heart pounded in your chest thinking about the date you had in less than an hour. You took a breath, to get rid of the feelings. How bad could it be? It was just a date
Yes. It was just a date, but what girl wouldn't be freaked out if she was asked on a date by Matt Sturniolo?
You were still shocked. How come someone like Matt wanted to date someone like you?
You turned around and looked at the dress on your body. You only wore this black dress for special occasions or important events. You weren't the type to overdress to impress a guy. You preferred natural beauty. You were a makeup artist for Nessa Barret and that's how you met Matt.
Nessa invited you to a party with her friends and you were honoured to meet them all, but when you came face to face with Matt, it was different.
"Do you think I look like a slut?" You asked your friend.
"Like a slut? Are you kidding me? You look more like a nun if you ask me"
You threw a pillow at her and fixed your dress.
"I'm joking. You look good and Matt will definitely fall head over heels for your beauty. If I was gay I would date you, I mean your boobs, wow"
You rolled your eyes and shook your head. "I don't feel good, maybe I should call it off"
"No way! You're going" Your best friend stood up from the bed and stood beside you. "You're going on this date and you're going to have fun, okay? I understand how you're feeling. If he asked me out, I would've burned this apartment down with happiness"
You both laughed and you knew this was why you loved her so much. She did everything to cheer you up, especially in your hardest times. She wiped your tears and never left your side. She was more like your sister. You were so close.
"Let's get you finished" She suggested and led you to your makeup table to do your hair and makeup.

Meanwhile, somewhere in LA, Matt was pacing back and forth to make sure everything was prepared. Matt spent hours in the kitchen to prepare a meal for his date and he was proud of it.
He looked at the table, that had two plates, forks, knives and glasses. He scattered some rose petals on the table and lit two candles. There was soft music in the background, everything was just how he wanted.
He looked at the time, he had no longer than fifteen minutes. He hurried into the kitchen and took the desert out of the fridge. It was a chocolate cake with strawberries on the top.
He put it on the table, ready for the evening to begin. He ran into his bedroom to check up on himself.
Matt couldn't remember the last time he'd been so excited for a date. With his busy schedule, the touring, filming and interviews, he never had the time to get to know anyone. His lifestyle never let him find someone he liked very much to date. The first moment he laid eyes on you, he wanted to make sure he was the only one who made a move on you. Even though he spoke to you a few times, he knew you were special. He would love to call you his girlfriend sometime, introduce you to his Mom and Dad. But, he knew how social media was and how fans would react if they found out.
Matt was already wondering how the night would end. Before he asked you out, he was a nervous wreck. But as soon as you said yes, Matt was so happy.
As 8 rolled around, there was a knock on the door and Matt took a deep breath as he went to open it.
