Sometimes memories were the worst form of torment. Matt was completely broken now. You were happy and he wanted that for you. He just hoped it would've been with him. Now more than ever.

His week was full of crying, sleeping and writing. He had written so many pages in his journal about you, he can't help it. He was really pouring his heart out.

There was a quiet knock on the bedroom door. Matt ignored it. He'd become too comfortable drowning his sadness, letting it take over. He believed this was his punishment for him being an idiot. The door slowly opened and he looked over to see Nick walking in, with a sympathetic look on his face.

"Hey" He mumbled, walking to Matt's bed. He looked over at the nightstand at the engagement ring that Matt couldn't put away.

"Mom..Mom told me what happened" He mumbled, sitting down next to Matt on the bed. Nick looked over at the journals and picked one up, flicking through the pages. "Shit, dude"

"Pathetic, right?" Matt responded, pinching his nose and shaking his head. "Writing about my feelings and feeling sad"

"It's not pathetic. You were in love-"

"I'm still in love" He interrupted, making sure Nick knew how he felt. The love never went away. It hid itself in his mind and didn't reveal itself until the worst moment.

"Right" Nick sighed and looked down at the floor. "I'm sorry"

"Not your fault. It's mine" Matt looked down too, sighing. He did this to you and himself. He nearly wished for another brain injury, so he could forget his pain he was experiencing. You were everything to him.

"Mom said you'd been in here all week" Nick said, knocking Matt from his thoughts. "Let's go for coffee"

"Uh.."

"Come on, Matt. You need to get out of the house" he said and Matt nodded. As much as he wanted to hide from the world, he knew it wasn't good for his mental state.

"Okay" he took the journal from Nick's hand and tossing it on the bed. "But..where..?"

Matt followed Nick towards cafe.

He'd been here a few times, before meeting you and he brought you here a few times. But, you both agreed Starbucks was better. Starbucks was their place.

"Oh man" Nick stated, causing Matt to look up and look at the paper stuck on the door. "They're out of coffee"

"What do you want to do?" Nick asked, looking at Matt, again with a sympathetic look. Matt hated when his brothers were upset. They shouldn't feel like that.

"We can go home..or.." Matt paused at his suggestion. Did he want to say it? Or do it? "We can go to Starbucks"

Nick widened his eyes at the suggestion and Matt shrugged.

"It's better coffee" He added, some truth behind the statement. Matt was beginning to think he just wanted to put himself through hell. Or maybe because you might feel that way.

The drive to Starbucks was nerve wracking. He couldn't speak to you and he figured you had nothing to say to him. He took a deep breath and opened the door for Nick and scanned the room. To find you.

He found Kelsey instead. And she wasn't alone. She was with the guy who had your attention at the bar. The guy who hugged you and made you smile.

Kelsey turned around, ready to leave, when she spotted Matt.

"Matt!" She exclaimed, shocked and she looked over at the guy she was with. "Hey"

Matt cleared his throat and looked at the strange guy. The one he wished wasn't here.
