Matt walked into your shared bedroom to see you packing a small bag with clothes and slippers.
"Hey, can you grab my face wash?" You asked, without looking where he was leaning against the doorframe.
"How'd you know I was standing here?" He asked, walking fully into the room.
"Your footsteps are not light" you laughed, going into your makeup drawer for your makeup bag. You packed some makeup into the bag and zipped it up.
You turned around, watching Matt go into the bathroom. There was some noises echoing from the bathroom, a mumble from Matt and the cabinet closing.
"Matt, you good?"
He came back out, holding various bottles and cotton pads.
"Do you really need all this stuff? It's just one night" he dropped them on the bed.
"I need to keep my skin clear" you grabbed your facial toner, then your face wash, making sure they were sealed tight before you put them in the bag.
"You're already so pretty" he said, sitting on the bed, making everything roll towards him.
You hummed, not paying attention.
"Where's my night cream?"you asked, going through your bag, sure you didn't pick it up.
"I don't know" Matt shrugged frowning.
"Matt, I told you. I'm going to the sleepover" you rolled your eyes. "Plus, you're going to be here with the guys"
He let out a deep breath. "I'm gonna miss you too much"
"Did you hide my night cream?" You put your hand on your hip, hiding your smile. "I use the same cream as Madi, your plan didn't work"
Matt gasped, covering his heart with his hand. "But.."
You brushed through your hair, before dropping the brush into your bag. You tied your hair up in a simple pony tail.
"Wait, Y/N. I'll cancel guys night. We'll get pizza and watch movies" He tried to change your mind.
"That's what I'm doing at Madi's"
Matt huffed and stood up. He took the bag off your shoulder and put it back on the bed and gave you a hug. You laughed and wrapped your arms around him.
The door bell rang, indicating the guys had arrived. Matt groaned and held you tighter.
"Okay, time to go" you wiggled away, ducking when he reached for you again.
You bolted downstairs, Matt hot on your feet. You slipped into your shoes, grabbing your keys and the fruit platter you were bringing to Madi's.
Matt opened the door for Chris and Nick.
"Hey" Nick greeted, holding drinks. Chris was behind him, holding snacks.
"Hey, Y/N" Chris greeted you. "Madi's outside"
You smiled and turned to Matt. Nick and Chris went upstairs to Matt's gaming room, leaving you and Matt alone.
"I have to go, babe. Call me if you need anything"
You kissed his cheek and stepped outside. You saw Madi waving you over. You opened the car door, threw your bag into the backseat and put your seatbelt on.
"Thanks for putting the seat warmer on"
"No problem" Madi said, putting her car in drive. "Everyone is at the house"
You nodded, carefully setting the platter on your lap when you heard your phone ring. You groaned when you saw the caller ID.
"Hi, Matt. Why are you calling me?"
"You said to call if I need anything"
"What do you need?"
"You" you burst out laughing
"I'm hanging up now"

Nick cursed at the player on the screen, taking a drink of his soda. He looked at Matt, who looked glum and kept to himself.
"What's wrong?" Chris paused his game and looked over at Matt too.
"I miss her" Matt admitted, slouching.
Nick laughed and put his drink down.
"If you miss her that much, you should go see her" Nick said, as a joke. Chris nodded along.
"You know, I will" Matt stood up and stepped into the hallway to put his shoes on.
"I was kidding!" Matt heard from the games room. Matt looked for his car keys.
"Don't do anything stupid!" Matt yelled back, closing the front door. He unlocked the car, put the key in the ignition and waited for the heat to come on.

The Notebook credits came on at the end of the movie. You stretched your legs without standing up, too comfortable in the position you were in.
"I needed that" Paige said, wiping tears from her eyes.
"Why can't guys be that romantic?" Madi joked, laughing and you laughed along with her.
You stood up with Paige to refill the bowls with popcorn for the next movie. Alanna was given the job of picking the next movie.
The doorbell rang. You all looked at each other wondering who that would be, especially this late at night.
"Did you order another pizza?"
"No" Madi furrowed
You took it upon yourself to check who it was. You squinted through the peephole and saw Matt. You swung the door open.
"Matt, what are you-"
Matt gave you a big hug, walking with you inside Madi's house while you closed the door.
"This is a girls night" Paige said, spotting Matt behind you.
"I know" he sat down on the spot you were sitting on before. He pulled your arm, pulling you down to his lap.
"I got the popcorn!" Madi walked in with more popcorn, when she spotted Matt. "And you got a Matt, nice"
She put the bowl down on the table. The screen turned black and the Netflix logo appeared.
"What are you doing here?" Paige asked, sipping her drink.
"I missed my girl"
"Okay, but just this one time"
Matt nodded, giving a thumbs up with his free hand.
"Oh, Matt" you whispered, playing with his hair, feeling your tummy swarm with butterflies.
