Matt is always looking forward to times when his days aren't filled with morning to midnight, travelling, meeting dozens of people. Don't get him wrong, he loved the buzz his life came with, but he was getting tired. He appreciated the calm, when he wasn't living out of a suitcase, he had time to get a coffee instead of rushing.

He had a built up habit of going to the same coffee place since he got back from tour and jumped into his deserved time off to rest and focus on himself.

It was his third day here when he first noticed you. You were sat at a table reading a book, another pile waiting for you on the free seat next to you as you made notes of your reading. Your glasses kept sliding down our nose, but they overall fit perfectly with your sweater and dungarees.

As the days went by, Matt spent his free mornings at the same spot, he started seeing you more often. You were always at the same table and Matt thought it was because of the light through the window that came in handy. You often had your laptop open with tutorials on different origami works that you were trying to do yourself and you got it right most of the time. Matt couldn't stop himself smiling when you held your work up and adored what you just created.

By the fifth or sixth time he saw you, he already knew your order. A vanilla latte with cinnamon on top. Large of course, so you could sip on it while you typed away or read your book.

Matt caught himself looking for you when you didn't show up, which was Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, but one Wednesday before 8am, there you were. Matt found himself coming in earlier on those days to find you there.

As days went by, Matt debated walking up to you. He wondered if you ever noticed him as well, but it seemed if you did, his presence didn't faze you at all. But every time he thought about it, he decided against it. Until one day, the chance was handed to him.

You were doing origami on this day, making cranes, one after the other, with coloured paper. It was a quiet morning, only a few more people in the cafe. It was windy today, so it was cosier to sit in the warmth.

An older man walked in and as he opened the door, the wind was quick to run into the place, knocking over everything that wasn't heavy enough to sit still and the origami was the first thing to go off the table.

"No!" You gasped, grabbing a few of them, but most end up on the floor away from your table. Matt was quick to come to the rescue, lending you a hand as you picked up your creations. "Oh thank you!" You looked up and met his eyes and you didn't seem stunned by him.

"Guess they wanted to be free" Matt joked, putting them on the table.

"It wasn't my best idea to make them near the door on a windy day" You laughed, looking at the bunch you'd been working on for the last thirty minutes.

"Why do you need so many?" Matt asked

""Oh, I want to make decorations out of them and hang them up in my classroom. I'm a teacher" You said, smiling.

That was the most fitting job Matt could've imagined for you.

"How many do you need?" He asked, looking at the stack of paper on the table.

"As many as I can do before my fingers fall off" You joked. Matt noticed the freckles on your face from up close. Your hair was in a bun and you were wearing a striped shirt, with jeans and converse.

"Do you...I would love to help, if you want" He offered, not thinking of the question before it came out of his mouth.

"You sure?" You asked, seemingly surprised but you didn't find it weird he just offered to help.
