You had enough.

You were so excited to go on tour with the triplets. When your boss approved her request to work from home for the next few months, you were so excited because it meant you could join Matt on their tour.

But some recent incidents with fans left a bad taste in your mouth, making you want to take a step back for awhile. Usually, you were good at tuning the nasty things out that people had to say about you, but there was a big difference between someone talking shit online versus in person. It was much harder to ignore.

You had the time of your life the first few days. It was the fourth day when things began to go wrong. A girl brought a sign with her that said, 'Blink Twice if Matt is being forced to date Y/N'

The sign was huge. It was crazy it was even allowed into the venue. The people behind her was irritated by the cardboard blocking their view. But the girl focused on making sure the sign was seen by not only Matt, but you too.

It was also visible to Chris and Nick, who were protective of you. Nick sent a security guard to get rid of the sign.

"What a stupid sign" Chris said. "You couldn't force Matt to date anyone"

Matt mentioned the sign to you later. He noticed the commotion from where was standing at the other side of the room. You told him it was okay, that you didn't care. And at the time, you didn't. Why would you care about the opinion of some random girl?

By the next day, there was a group girls who kept shooting you dirty looks, laughing amongst themselves, filming you. The most annoying part was, one of them complimented your outfit, a nice act that became clear was part of their act. It was you were cast in bullying PSA without your knowledge.

It was getting to the stage you could no longer tell who was being genuine and who wasn't when they spoke to you. Any phones or looks in your direction, made you uncomfortable, like everything about you was being picked apart.

Today's meet and greet was in Chicago. Your plan was to push through it and tell Matt tomorrow you needed a break from touring. As you sat in the dressing room, watching him get ready, your stomach turning at the thought of being out there tonight. You couldn't do it. You just couldn't.

"What's wrong, babe?"

"Nothing" you sighed. "Let's talk about it after this. You need to get ready"

"No, hey. Tell me what's wrong" He walked over to the couch you were sitting on

You didn't want to bring it up beforehand. It was going to change his mood for the rest of the night. But knowing Matt, he's not going to let it go until you told him

His stylist was in the room with you, going through Matt's clothes on the rack.

"Do you mind if we have a minute alone?" You asked the stylist.

"Of course not. Come and get me when you're done"

Matt sat down beside you, resting his arm on the back of the couch. You told him everything that was happening lately and how it was getting to you. When you told him you wanted to take a break, the light in his eyes disappeared.

"You..want to take a break?"

"From the tour Matt. Not from our relationship"

"No, I know. I just-" He looked down at the floor. "I didn't know it was bad. I saw the sign, but I thought that was it. I didn't know people were being cruel" Hs shook his head and looked at you. "I should've known. I'm sorry"

"You couldn't have. You're on stage with the guys putting on a good time for fans, as you should be"

"No, but we're in the same room. And this was happening in front of me? How could I not notice that?" He rubbed his face in frustration. "Fuck"
