You woke up to a throbbing headache, punishing you for the night before and you felt giddy from the kiss you shared with Matt last night.
The feeling of his hand on your waist and his lips on yours. You got out of bed and slowly stood up.
This time, you weren't hesitant opening your bedroom door. You were excited and anxious, so you needed to calm your heart beat down before you left the room.
The apartment was silent, so you guessed Matt was still asleep. You'd give anything to get into bed with him and lay there all day. But, you knew you had to take it one step at a time.
You went to get some coffee and you noticed something on the counter. You walked closer and under the water and the ibuprofen, was a note.
Morning, I have plans with Nate. I'll see you later - Matt
The fact he wrote you a note and left water and ibuprofen left butterflies in your stomach. It felt good. It felt right.

You walked around the bar with the biggest smile on your face. If your smile was a paint, it would cover every wall in the bar a bright colour. Along with the lights Finn wanted to add around the place.
"What's going on with you today?" Finn asked you.
"What do you mean?" You tried your best to stay casual, knowing you were failing so much that he needed to ask.
"You look like the star of a cheesy movie. What's going on?"
You shrugged and looked down at your phone, hoping to stay subtle. "Nothing is going on"
"That's bullshit, Y/N" he laughed. "Tell me. You know I love juicy gossip"
You sighed and cleared your throat. "Okay"
"Yay!"
"Matt and I kissed last night" you admit and Finn's jaw dropped.
"I need more details!"
"It wasn't a cheesy movie kiss. We were at Madi's, I had too much to drink, we were flirting-"
"Saucy"
"He took care of me when we got home and we kissed" you paused and held up your finger to him. "Technically, I kissed him first"
"What did he do?" He asked, anticipating your answer.
"First, he just stared at me. I thought I messed it up. But then he pulled me in and kissed me again"
Finn squealed and grabbed your hands in his.
"This is exciting! A good step!"
You laughed and then shook your head at an instant thought. "How is it stupid that I'm getting butterflies over a kiss with a guy I've been with for two years?"
"It's not stupid" he squeezed your hands. "You're allowed to be happy about it"
"I'm just hesitant to be happy about it right now"
"Happy about what?" You heard from behind you. You turned and saw Jordan walking towards you both with a box in his hands.
"Nothing" you said quickly.
"Not nothing. Matt kissed her!" Finn blurted out, winking at you.
"Wow, that's great. That is something to be happy about" Jordan smiled.
