You and Matt ran around the apartment trying to make it look like a couple lived here. Matt moved some of his stuff into your room, leaving his clothes in the guest room and you can tell your sister, he uses the room to store his stuff. The top of your neatly organised dresser now had Matt's cologne and sprays, your hair ties and some of his rings. He moved all his books and notes on to your room desk. A backpack sat next to yours.

You ran around like crazy, discussing things Courtney might ask about. Like how you met, your first date, when did Matt move in with you, though you know she will ask something you didn't cover up.

"Let's just act normal" You said, with a deep breath when she text you and said she was on her way up to the apartment.

"Nothing about this is normal" Matt laughed and his eyes widened suddenly. "Oh shit!"

"What?" You asked in a panic

"I forgot something in the nightstand drawer" He stammered, running back to his room, just when she knocked on the door.

"Okay, it'll be fine" you tell yourself as you open the front door.

"Hi!" Courtney greets as she walked in, rolling her suitcase behind her. "Sorry I just dropped my unannounced, but I was planning on driving back home until I got in contact with another photographer so I thought I would spare some time and stay here"

"It's okay" you laughed and closed the door behind her. "But there's something you should know"

"Uh..what is it?"

"I'm not living by myself anymore" you admitted and just in time, Matt walked out of your room with a smile as he approached your sister.

Your sister has never been speechless in her entire life. But as she stared at Matt, with wide eyes and her mouth open, you thought you'd broken your sister.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you. I'm Matt, her boyfriend" He introduced himself, holding out his hand and you caught Courtney looking at his tattooed arm before she snapped out of her trance.

"I'm Courtney, her sister" She said, shaking Matt's hand.

"Matt lives here with me" you added, to make it more clear.

"Matt, who is your boyfriend" Courtney nodded, processing the information.

"Yes"

"Well, this is unexpected, but it's nice to meet you" She beams and looked really happy to meet him. You felt relieved. "Y/N, do you have some wine here? We could open some and talk"

The three of you sat in the living room. Matt was so relaxed while you were crapping yourself. You opened a bottle of white wine that you shared, while Courtney asked Matt her usual questions. Matt winged them all with ease, while you nodded along, letting him take the lead.

"I'm about to fall asleep" Courtney yawned. "If you don't mind, I'll call it a night, but maybe we could go for brunch tomorrow, what do you say?"

"Sure" you nodded, not too happy that you had to pretend for longer.

"Great!"

The rest of the evening went by quietly. Courtney used the bathroom first and in the meantime, you and Matt got ready for bed.

The same bed.

Your bed was big enough for two people, but it's been a while since there was someone in it beside you. What if you snore? Or talk in your sleep? What if you kick him?

As Matt's footsteps approach the room, you grabbed your phone from the night stand and aimlessly opening and closing apps. Matt appeared, walking in and closing the door behind him.
