Chapter 16: "That Cat Likes You"
Teiro's point of view
MY FEET is already tired. Yet I'm still walking with these two here.
"Tired already?" I glared at Leonidas who's just smirking at me ahead. He's like a robot. His fatigue level seems limitless not same as Alistair next to me, like a tired dog slipping his tongue out of his mouth.
"Malayo pa ba tayo?" Tanong nitong nanghihina.
Leonidas glared back to him while both hands still inside his pants pocket. "Idiot. You're the one who have the coordinates of the egg's location. Man up and lead the way already."
"Pero dalawang oras na tayong naglalakad. Sigurado naman akong tama ang dinadaanan natin but the path is just too difficult."
Plus many beast roaming around got in our way twelve times already. There's even a time where we're forced to run 20 minutes straight just to avoid those giant rhinos. We can vaguely kill one or two of those monsters but we will be also crushed by rest of the hordes after.
Phoenix and the others, turned their own paths in this vast wasteland gaya ng ginagawa naming tatlo ngayon.
I asked them how to find coordinates for the beast I want to tame but, unluckily, I can't.
This is what I always read from the map system,
'Strictly prohibited: One Beast companion per player. Once you had a pact already, beast coordinates searching will permanently be unavailable unless you lose your companion.'
May sira. Little did he know. He's also crazy like this damn game rules.
"Kamusta na kaya 'yong iba?" Natanong ko sa sarili habang palinga-linga sa paligid. We are now walking pass an old wooden bridge to get to the other side of the cliff.
It's foggy around and the stepping woods are always creaking once our foot steps on it, like it's about to break apart any second now.
"Instead of worrying others. Worry about yourself first." Leonidas who's still leading our way, answered. He's walking between these woods like it's just a normal walking road.
I snorted. "Hindi ka nga nagwo-worry kung mahuhulog ka dyan o hindi."
Nakalagpas kami sa bridge nang hindi nahuhulog, and we're thankful for that. Worst than falling, perhaps. Are we really supposed to be thankful for it? I'm confused.
"Malapit na tayo." Alistair exclaimed when he peek again to his map.
"Actually . . ." Then Leonidas said. Pareho kaming napalingon ni Alistair sa kanya. He's gazing up to a huge tree ten meters ahead from us. He stared to us over his shoulder. "We're already here."
My eyes are amazed. My mouth slightly opened, breathing in some air heavily. This tree is huge. Oddly huge and tall. It seems twisting up and getting thinner and thinner like a marshmallow pyramid.
