I know Ivy, I know she's going to do every possible thing to get me out of this cell.

That's what I'm afraid of.

I'm not scared of Ivy but when she loves someone she will do anything for them even if it ruins her. I love her and all of her.

I don't want her to think she owes me something because she doesn't. Yes, Nate's death was Cleo's fault but Nate pushed her to that point. Ivy shouldn't feel guilty.

It's not your fault Ivy. I want to tell her everyday that I love her and that she doesn't need to keep putting people before herself.

But like I said before she is a force to be reckoned with and there's no denying how smart she is.

I hope she finds another way to get us out of this mess. Not something my lawyer suggested.

My lawyer is good but he's also dirty. I met him in a club for gods sake. Not my smartest move but he was slick and knew things about the business world that I had no clue about.

He is a friend but can turn into an enemy so I had no choice but to become a great friend to him.

Ivy thinks I'm better then her, that I haven't gone as far as her but I have made mistakes. Not as bad as killing and helping hide a body but still not as innocent as I would like.

I never want to go back and be the person I was in new York. I was dumb and into gambling but lucky for me I had friends.

Bad friends who do bad things but they were the only people who didn't judge you for your past or what you do because they did worse.

I tried to stay out of that side of business. It wasn't easy but I did. I got better and it all led me back to my home town.

I just can't seem to stay out of trouble.

Trouble doesn't come out of nowhere, I guess I seem to follow it.

Ivy is both my love and my trouble.

A type of trouble I never want to escape.

"I did it, so now what?" I ask rubbing my hands vigorously under the running water of the sink.

"Now we play the waiting game, my people will take care of the doctors and the police will have nothing to pin on anyone." Alex's lawyer is casually on my couch but I can tell he's surveying my place.

I've noticed from being with him a short time he always is aware of his surroundings taking in everything he can.

"Ok, thank you for everything but what are they gonna do to the doctors?" I ask facing him but something tells me I don't want to know.

For the first time he looks at me dead in the eyes "they are gonna talk."

"You know convince them to keep quiet."

I catch where he's going with this but I don't want any harm to come to anymore people.

I bite my lip to reframe from asking more questions.

"What specifically does that mean?" I ask nervously.

He stands up and grabs his suit case.

"There going to bribe them."

I silently sigh in relief. The last thing I need is another death.

"Good luck with everything ivy. Places like this can't handle people like us." He puts his sunglasses on and walks towards the door.

I don't like how he used the word "us" in his sentence.

"Wait, I never caught your name?"

He smirks a little.

"Santiago Ramirez."

Then he leaves without another word.

I'm left speechless.
