Another update!

Ruby walked out of the Filch's office along with Eleanor with a proud grin on their face.

"That was awesome, right?"

"Infinity times yes" Eleanor replied with a contended smile. She was satisfied of Nathaniel 's reaction and hereafter he wouldn't dare to mess with any girl, right?

The two best friends were walking together after weeks and they felt happy, but it didn't last any longer.

"Ruba!" Sirius waved at the girl and approached her, totally ignoring Eleanor's existence. A smile grew up to Ruby automatically as she waved him back.

"Hey!" She greeted.

"Hey to you too Sirius Black" Eleanor said rolling her eyes as Sirius made a funny face which made Ruby to let out a laugh.

"What's the matter, Sirius?"

"Nothing, just wanted to-" before he could complete his sentence, he saw a random ravenclaw girl waving at him with a shy smile. And that made Sirius to smirk.

"Woah! Look at that girl, Ruba! Isn't she stunning?" He asked, nudging her arm playfully. And the smile was present on her lips faded at his question. She immediately turned behind to see the girl tucking a strand of her hair and winking at him.

Ruby gritted her teeth and raised her head a little and looked back at Sirius.

"Yeah, totally gorgeous" she gave a reply dryly. Eleanor noticed the tension as she decided to leave the place for good.

"Uh- I've got some work to do, bye guys!" She said and ran away from them.

Sirius was smirking at her reaction as he pressed his lips together, controlling himself from smiling.

"Should I need to go and ask her out for a date?" Sirius asked, adding fuel to the fire. Ruby was confused of her behavior. Her, getting annoyed by Sirius spending his time with other girls , sure did annoy her. now, she wasn't getting annoyed- well she was. But, along with annoyance she's feeling an another different emotion.

"It's up to you" she said and walked ahead.

"Hey- wait!" And Sirius chuckled at her reaction and followed her with his hands tied behind.

"Where are you going?"

"To library" she said shortly.

"To study?"

"To kill someone" she said as Sirius choked on his air as Ruby stopped on her tracks and looked at Sirius with concern.

"Are you okay?" She asked. Just now she was feeling annoyed of him, but the next second, it has changed.

"No-nothing" Sirius replied as he heaved a sigh and looked at her.

It was only them in the corridor. The sun was setting down as the sky displayed blending of orange and yellow. The evening breeze brushed Ruby's hair as she tucked it behind her ear, still looking at Sirius.

"So..?" Ruby asked, trying to ease the atmosphere.

"Uh- actually... there's something I wanted to ask you?" He asked, fiddling with his fingers, nervously and never in his he felt this nervous. Like, never. Ruby noticed this as she laughed a little.

"Is the famous Sirius Black getting nervous? " she asked with a smirk on her lips. Sirius just shook his head, looking down and averted his gaze back to her with that soft smile.

"Will you go out on a date with me?"

Ruby was doing her astronomy assignment which was on due the next day. Remus entered the common room and looked at his sister, who didn't budge from her seat.

He went and sat beside her without making any noise.

"Ruby?" Ruby flinched as she dropped her quill. Remus laughed at her reaction and he got the quill for her from the ground.

"You dimwit!" She yelled as she smacked his arm in a joking manner before snatching the quill from him with a glare which made Remus to again laugh.

"I'm older than you and you're supposed to respect me! Not curse at me" he said, but Ruby once again focused on her work and ignored Remus completely.

"You're ignoring me?" He asked, dramatically clutching his heart.

"No, just doing my assignment" she said, not taking her eyes off the paper in front of her. "And completed!" She said, literally throwing off the quill but somehow she managed to catch it.

"Wow, that fast?"

"I've been doing it from yesterday"

"Too slow" Remus commented as once again her got a smack from his sister.

"I'm getting too much respect from you today, anything good happened?" Remus asked and Ruby's breath hitched at his question. She remembered. Remembered about the incident that had happened on evening.

"Will you go out on a date with me?" Sirius asked and Ruby froze at his question. She felt butterflies, heck, a whole zoo in her stomach and once again she didn't know why. She felt her face getting warm second by second and her heart, it was thumping so hard against her chest and she was afraid that Sirius might hear it.

"Wh-what?" She asked and now it was her turn to get nervous.

"A date?" He asked once again.

Sirius knew that she wouldn't say yes to him because of his annoying behavior towards her for the past 5 years.

"Uh- why so sudden?" She asked, not daring to look into his eyes.

"I've planned this for years, but got no guts" he said, looking at her. Ruby held her books closer to her chest as she bit her lower lip and looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?" She asked out in disbelief.

"Yeah, so, will you?" He asked tilting his head and hoping that she would say yes. Because all he could do was, hope for the best.

"I-"

"Take your time, maybe a day? Or two? Or even months. Take how much ever you want" he said and paused on his words.

"But, don't make me wait too much" he said softly and ruffled her hair a little and walked away, leaving the girl, blushing.
