Two weeks later.

Things were going well. Sirius and Ruby were spending most of their time together, as usual. And Remus was getting ready for his wedding, which was a day away.

He would often disturb Ruby's time and would ask for some suggestions, which Ruby would gladly give because she felt happy seeing her brother smitten by the girl he loves.

"Honey! Sirius's here!" Hope yelled from downstairs as Ruby adjusted her hair and walked out of the room to see Sirius waiting for her. She waved him with a smile as he too waved her back with an excited grin.

"Where are you both going?" Hope asked , looking at Sirius, who was neatly dressed up with his brand new black silk shirt and a pair of grey pants.

"We're going for getting flowers and dresses, Hope," he replied as Hope nodded. "Better bring her back home without any bite marks."

Blood rushed to Ruby's cheeks as her eyes widened.

"Mom! Enough!" She exclaimed as she ran out of the house, along with Sirius, who was laughing.

"Stop laughing!" She yelled, but he didn't oblige. Ruby looked at his smiling face as her lips curved up a little. She shook her head as she hugged him, which caught Sirius off the guard. He slowly melted in the hug as he smiled fondly.

"What's with this sudden affection?" He joked as Ruby shrugged.

"Stop ruining the moment," she replied, to which Sirius chuckled as he caressed her hair softly.

"As you wish, love," he whispered and hugged her tightly.

"Alright! Roses?" Ruby asked

"Check!" Sirius replied.

"Jasmine?"

"Check!"

"Maid of honor's dress?"

"Che-- wait, what?" Sirius looked at her in a dumbfounded way . Ruby nodded her head with an excited smile as Sirius smiled widely before pecking her lips.

"I'm happy for you!"

"What about you?" Ruby asked as Sirius's smile faded.

"Uh--I, You see, I'm not interested in those stuff," he said as Ruby frowned in disbelief.

"You're boring," she commented as Sirius chuckled and hung the bag on his shoulder before linking arms with her.

"Let's go and pick a dress for you," he said as he dragged her, which made Ruby laugh out. The couple entered a boutique as Sirius helped her in choosing a dress. Ruby started to get tired of wearing and removing n- number of dresses.

"What about this?" She asked as Sirius looked at her from head to toe.

"No, the sleeve is too small." Ruby rolled her eyes as she sweared to herself not to bring her boyfriend along with her for shopping clothes in the future.

Sirius impatiently tapped his feet as he looked at the ground, waiting for her.

"Sirius?" She called out as Sirius looked up, and at that moment, his heart skipped a beat. His eyes widened in awe . She looked beautiful in his eyes. The way the dress covered her body, the way she stood there shyly in front of his gaze, made his heart pace faster just for his girl.

"Sirius?" She called out once again as Sirius cleared his throat and opened his mouth to talk, but none came out. He nodded his head repeatedly as Ruby too nodded her head, teasing him. She entered the dressing room, and that's when his voice came out.

"Forgot how to breathe for a second... this woman"
