"What happened , Hope?" Sirius asked with concern as he looked at Hope's shocked face and teary eyes. He felt anxious as he fiddled with his fingers and waited for Hope to open her mouth.

"Hope, what's -"

"She's pregnant." Sirius's eyes widened in shock as he choked on his breath. Remus patted his friend's head as his pupils dilated. Sirius cursed himself for not using protection charm that day as James and Peter narrowed their eyes.

"Padfoot! " They exclaimed in surprise as they bet his arm playfully. Sirius breathed out as he looked at Hope.

"Does-- Does she know about it?" Hope nodded her head with a little smile.

"And the funny thing is, she wants this baby." Sirius's heart paced faster as he thought of the day they made love. Sirius always longed for having a family and being the best dad as he could. No punishments, no abusive words, and no hatred. It's just a pure loving dad.

"Can I talk to her?" Hope nodded her head as Sirius entered the room to see Ruby on the bed, looking at him with a smile and tears in her eyes. He kneeled beside the bed and held her hand onto his own, and caressed her ring finger.

"Are you sure?" Ruby nodded her head as Sirius let out a weak chuckle.

"So, I'm going to be a dad?" He asked with a smile growing in his face as Ruby nodded her head affectionately . He kissed her hand as his hand went to her stomach and caressed it softly. Suddenly, his eyes landed on her leg as soon as he saw something shiny in her ankles.

His eyes widened in surprise as he looked at her with a grin.

"You still wear this?" Sirius asked, looking at the ankles.

"Always, duh," Ruby replied with a teasing smile as the lovers shared a kiss.

Three months later (1980)

"James and Lily are married!" Yelled Sirius as he entered their house. Ruby stood up slowly from the couch as Sirius demanded her sit back.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't be there," Ruby apologized sincerely as Sirius laid his head on her lap and admired her face.

"James and Lily are fine, love. They know about your condition. " Sirius as Ruby played with his hair.

"How's my little princess?" He asked as Ruby scoffed in response.

"It's my prince," She said as Sirius shook his head, throwing a tantrum.

"No way, my little princess is waiting to play with her dad and ditch her mother," he said playfully as Ruby glared at him.

"Oh, if that's the case," she paused as she pushed Sirius away and stood up. "Then, leave me," she said and walked towards their room.

Eversince the proposal, Ruby and Sirius started living together, and adding to the fact that she was eighteen, it was easy for her to convince her parents.

Sirius laughed as he followed her inside the room to see her on the bed, reading her favorite book peacefully, and Sirius wanted to disturb it.

"Do not enter this room!" She exclaimed as she threw a pillow at him. Sirius chuckled as he took a step forward only to get hit by another pillow.

"Hey, come on, Ruba! This isn't fair! I was only playing with you, " he reasoned, but Ruby ignored him.

"Love, you can't ignore me forever," he said confidently as Ruby raised her eyebrow in a challenging way.

"Is that so?" She asked, Sirius gulped as he thought of the way she treated him during the school days as he shook his head slowly.

"Alright, you're my first!" He surrendered as he laid beside her on the bed. Ruby smiled a little as she kept her book aside and stared at her fiance 's face. She caressed his face softly as Sirius gave in to her touch.

"You're being just like Sebastian," she teased him as Sirius eyes shot open with disbelief. He turned to the other side of the bed in a childish way. Ruby chuckled at his antics as she slowly positioned herself beside him and hugged him from the back.

"Hey, come on, love. I was just playing with you. " Ruby teased him by repeating his own lines as Sirius chuckled dryly.

"I hate you,"

"I love you more"
