"Professor Dumbledore," Ruby greeted as she entered his office.

"Oh, welcome, Ms Lupin! Didn't expect your arrival, " Dumbledore said with a chuckle, but Ruby didn't find it humorous.

"So, you must be here to get the answers for your question," Dumbledore said as he walked near the magical liquid. Ruby paced her steps and stood beside him.

Without any warning, Dumbledore raised his wand and placed it near her temple as he pulled a few strands of her hair before dipping it in the water.

"What was that for?" Ruby asked with wide eyes.

"Dip your head inside. Your answers are there," Dumbledore paused. "And I promise you that this will not kill you, Ms Lupin," he said with a chuckle.

Ruby heaved a sigh as she dipped her head inside the water.

Ruby could see a couple. The woman was sleeping on the bed with a tired smile. The man was beside her as he had a baby in his arms.

"She's just like you, Kira," he said as he placed a kiss on the baby's forehead, which made it squirm in his arms.

"Is she?" Kira asked in a hoarse voice.

"Yeah," the man said.

Somehow, this scene made Ruby's eyes tear up a little, and she didn't know the reason behind it.

Suddenly, everything faded as Ruby looked around with confusion.

"Nick! She's walking! Our Rubina's walking!" The same woman," Kira said as she clapped her hands in an excited way.

"Oh my, Ruba!" She assumed the man's name as Nick. He quickly carried her in his arms and twirled around, which made the little one-year-old girl burst into giggles.

And once again, these faded and landed into another vision.

"Please don't go, Nick.. I'm getting visions.. bad visions... " Kira pleaded, but Nick caressed her cheek and placed a warm lingering kiss on her forehead.

"I'll be back, Kira... I promise, "

This vision faded and turned into a new one.

"NO! MY NICK!" Kira clutched her chest as she sobbed. Her husband was found dead in the alley by a few death Eaters.

"I WANT HIM!..." she yelled, feeling her heart aching at the thought of losing her love.

"Pappa...mamma..." Little Rubina uttered few words as she held her mother's skirt.

One more vision..

"I'm sorry baby, I'm sorry... Mamma can't protect you... Mamma will put you in danger... I'm sorry, my lovely daughter. " Kira apologized as she felt her throat aching. She was a crying mess as she held her daughter in her arms for one last time.

"Mamma cry?" Rubina asked, tilting her head.

"No, mamma is not crying... Mamma will be back, take care, love, " she said and placed a last kiss on her forehead. She walked away, leaving her daughter in front of a tall building before knocking on the door.

The door opened, revealing a middle-aged lady with a surprised look.

"Oh god.." she whispered.

"Mamma where?.." Rubina asked. The lady crouched to her height and looked at the suitcase beside the little girl. It was named Ruby. There was no last name.

And the building was none other than the place Ruby grew up till she was four. It was the same orphanage.

She pulled her head out of the water and breathed heavily. Her eyes were teared up. She understood that those two were somehow involved in her life.

"What was that? Wh-- who are they?" She asked as she wiped the tears in her eyes.

"They're your birth parents, Ms Lupin," Dumbledore stated as her breath hitched.

"Wh-- what? I-- I don't understand, " she asked, feeling confused.

"Your mother was an excellent witch. Kira Park. She was a seer. "

"What's a seer?"

"They predict the future, Ms Lupin, and fortunately, you got this trait from her," he paused. "And as for your father, he's a muggle. They fell in the game of love and got married. Nicholas Darlings. An amazing man. Sadly, he lost his life because of some death eaters. Your mother wanted to get revenge, so she decided to kill those death eaters. That's the reason she left you, because she knew that she wouldn't return... She was lost for many years... After three solid years, her body was found in the same alley where your dad was found dead. "

Ruby was bewildered. She felt like going crazy.

"And Voldemort had a possession on her since she was a seer. He always wanted her to join with them, but she rebuked and tagged with us, the Order of Pheonix"

"Order of Pheonix? What's that?"

"It's an organisation working against voldemort and his followers," Dumbledore said.

"What are you trying to say to me?" Ruby asked as her heart was thumping against her chest.

"You're a seer, Ruby. You're the wise weapon we got against them, " Dumbledore said as Ruby just scoffed in disbelief.

"Weapon? I'm a human, Professor! And I will never join this organisation! I may sound selfish, but that's the least I care about. I want to live with my family and protect them! Not to put them in a danger, " Ruby hissed as she glared at Dumbledore.

"You will definitely come to meet me, Ms Lupin. I can assure you that"

"After my death!" She snapped and walked out of his office, wiping her tears with the back of her hand.

She didn't want to put herself and her loved ones in danger,just like her birth mother did.
