𝐻𝑖𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼

Ruby opened her house door to see a worried Peter and James.

"What's wrong, guys?" Ruby asked as she let the duo in. She got them a glass of water as she sat across them.

"What's the matter, guys? You both want me to call you Remy?" Ruby asked as James shook his head.

"No, it's just... It's about Sirius. " Ruby looked at them curiously.

"He-- he, went out to buy r--." Peter started off, but James pinched Peter's thigh as the boy winced in pain.

"He went to buy something, but he hadn't returned back" James said as Ruby's eyes widened with fear. She hadn't got any visions about him so far, but now that he's missing, she was scared.

"What? When did he leave?"

"Morning, and now, it's past six. Still, he hadn't reached. We thought that he would be with you, that's why we came to visit you, but"

"Let's go and search for him," Ruby said as she slid her wand inside her jeans and tied her hair in a messy bun.

"We-- we searched everywhere, Ruby," Peter said as Ruby rubbed her temple.

"Guys, let's search once again. It's not wrong to check those places again, right?" Ruby said as she held James's hand, who in turn clutched Peter's hand as the trio apparated to Diagon Alley.

Ruby was started to crazy and her thoughts were filled about him. Then, the trio apparated to Potter's manor, but he wasn't there either.

"Where are you, Sirius?" Ruby muttered in worry as she looked around.

"Got any information?" She asked James as he shook his head. Ruby's heart was pacing faster as she bit her lower lip anxiously.

"Where's he, James? Are you guys pulling a prank on me?" Ruby asked with frown as James shook his head.

"We would never play in this kind of situation, Ruby," James stated as Peter nodded his head. She sat on the platform as she ran a hand through her loose hair. James sat beside her as he pulled her in a friendly hug.

"Now the time is past 11, and still we haven't found him... Where's he, James? What if... He's hurt? Or something bad -"

"Ruby, Sirius will be fine," James said softly as Ruby nodded her head as she let out a breathy cry.

Peter watched their interaction as he remained silent and felt bad for them.

"Why not we search his apartment for last time?" Peter suggested as Ruby nodded her head as the trio apparated to his apartment.

"Sir-- Remus? What are you doing here?" Ruby asked in confusion as she noticed her brother's presence.

"You got anything about Sirius? Where's he?! Jus--" her words got cut off as her gaze fell on the room behind Remus, which was kept open. Her hands trembled at the sight as she cupped her mouth and let out a shaky gasp.

"Ruby, he's fine--"

"Wh-- why? Wha--" she stuttered as James and Peter entered the room to see their friend, a pale Sirius laying on the bed.

"He was attacked by some death eaters, and this bastard didn't have his wand with him at that time," Remus said as Ruby's eyes darkened.

"I was passing by the alley to get some supplies for dad and I-- I saw him on the ground"

"Who the fuck are they? I'll kill those son of b--" Ruby cursed as she tried to walk out of the house and kill those death eaters who attacked her man. But, Remus pulled her back as he held her in his arms.

"Ruby, this might be a trap to get you" Remus whispered as Ruby froze. "Have you forgotten how your birth mother was killed? They're using your emotions to get you, Ruby... Don't fall for their trap"

Ruby's heart was throbbing against her chest. She looked at Remus as she wiped her tears.

"Is-- is he looking for me?" Remus nodded his head. Ruby heaved a sigh of frustration as she looked at the opened door.

Her Sirius was laying there unconsciously and she was the reason behind it. He was nearly killed.

Ruby pulled away from Remus as she made her way inside the room. James and Peter understood as the duo nodded their head at Ruby as she smiled a little. James and Peter left the house along with Remus as Ruby locked the door using the spell.

She laid on the bed and pulled the comforter above them. she moved closer to him and looked at his pale face. A drop of tear fell down her cheek as she controlled her tears and hugged him softly.

Remus's words about his proposal rung in her head as she closed her eyes. Was it wrong that she felt like living the rest of her life with him?

Ruby flinched a little when she felt him hugging her back. She opened her eyes to see Sirius looking at her with a tired smile.

"You're here?" Ruby smiled as she nodded her head replying,

"I am" she whispered as she captured his lips and pulled away before Sirius could kiss her back.

"Ho-- how are you?"

"After the kiss, much better" Sirius joked as Ruby chuckled a little. He slowly wiped her wet cheek and that was when she realized she was crying.

"I'm fine, love" Sirius said with all sincerity.

"I-- I thought --" Sirius pulled the crying girl closer to him as he kissed her forehead. "I'm right here, Ruba. I'm not going anywhere"

And just like that couple hugged eachother.

A/n

Sirius and Ruby are my heart.

They're my therapy couple. The way Sirius takes care of her and the way Ruby loves him.... wish fictional men were real men instead.

This book is gonna end within 15 to 20 chapters.

I completed this story, and I'm writing a new fic. I'll talk about it after few chapters.
