"Marls? El?" Ruby yelled as she walked in, followed by her husband.

"Tommy, mumma's here!" Ruby called out, but there was no answer.

"El!" Ruby flinched as she turned behind to see Peter and Remus with worried eyes. Ruby got confused.

"Why are you here, Remy? What's the matter?"

"I--" Remus took a deep breath as he controlled his emotions. "I got information that there wa-- was an attack here." Sirius's eyes widened as Ruby felt numb.

"Wha-- what are you saying?" Sirius asked as he walked towards Remus with a frown.

"The order gave me this announcement... that some fucking death eater had attacked here and--" Remus's eyes widened as he felt speechless.

"T- Tom?" Ruby felt like the earth had stopped spinning. She felt like she was drowning in a ninty feet deep pool. Slowly, tears started to fall down her cheek. She saw her bestfriend, Eleanor holding Thomas's little shirt. She slowly reached near them as she shook Eleanor's shoulder.

But there was no response. Shd slowly removed Eleanor's grip and took the shirt in her hand, which was blood stained.

Ruby was crying.

Not because she was happy.

She was broken.

She held the shirt closer to her chest and sobbed. Only his shirt was there, what about him?

"Tom! " She heard her brother sobbing, along with Sirius. "Where's our son?!" She yelled helplessly.

"He's alive, he must--"

"Ruby, they must've taken him to Voldemort, " Peter said quietly as Ruby glared at him. She was extremely furious. How can he take away her son?

"I'm gonna get my son back," Sirius informed. He was about to leave, but Peter's words made him to pause on his tracks.

"Padfoot, you'll die if you go there. . . Don't go and moreover Tho--Thomas must've been de--"

"Shut up, Peter!" Sirius snapped harshly as Peter flinched. He himself knew what would've happened to his son by now, but he couldn't accept the fact that his one year old son was now no more.

His eyes teared up as he stared at his wife, who was still holding that little shirt, closer to her chest and wailing for her son.

Thomas Leo Black was dead.

Remus's hands started to shiver as he looked at Peter.

"Where's El? She must be asleep" Remus said.

"Moony she-- she's dead," Peter said as Remus shook his head in denial. But, that was truth.

Eleanor Bingley was dead, along with Marlene McKinnon.

Ruby couldn't believe her own eyes.

"Sirius, what's happening here?! Tell them to get up!.. tell--.. Te.." And just like that, Ruby fainted in his arms. Only then, the tears he had controlled, started to pour out from his eyes.

What did his half a year son do to die? What did his wife's best friends do to die? Wasn't that such a young age to leave their loved ones?

On the other hand, Remus failed to leave his wife's dead body. The love of life, his angel, his wife, was no more. And so was his best friend, Marlene.

Aren't they too young for this shit?

Ruby couldn't accept everything that had happened a week ago. Her son, her bestfriends, were no more. She felt angry on herself, so she decided to stay alone in her room, leaving a depressed Sirius alone as well.

"Ruby," she heard her husband's tired voice which ached her heart for some reason.

"Ruby don't do this, open the door" he pleaded desperately as Sirius wiped his tears.

"Leave me alone, Sirius" He heard from the other side of the door as Sirius sighed.

"Ruby, we gotta be there for eachother and don't push me away again" Sirius said. Suddenly the room door was opened revealing Ruby in her lose hoodie and messy hair bun along with her wand.

"I'm gonna kill those nasty mother fucking--" Sirius immediately caught her by wrapping his arms around her waist from behind.

"Leave me! Leave me!" Ruby yelled as Sirius tightly held her. Ruby slapped his arm and pinched him, but he didn't leave her. Finally, Ruby broke down into sobs as she kneeled down, along with Sirius who was right behind her.

"My-- my son...." Ruby whispered as Sirius's eyes were brimmed with tears.

"We lost our son, Sirius.... my El, Marls... I want them! I want them! I want them back!"

"Do you think that I don't want them back?" Sirius snapped as Ruby remained silent. "For merlin's sake, just control your fucking anger, alright? What do you think that those dickheads would do as soon as you go to them?" Sirius asked as he emphasised the death eaters.

"They'll torture you, they'll kill you! Just like how they killed our son, El and Marls! And," he paused as he saw Ruby's hands shivering. He immediately held her hand in his and kissed it. "I'll lose you..."

"I'll definitely not forgive myself after losing you.... Ruby, you're everything to me... and I don't wanna lose you. Stay with me! Don't go!"

Ruby finally turned around as she saw her husband's teary eyes. She immediately wiped those and hugged him tightly. Sirius didn't waste a second to hug her back and hold her close to him. He was scared of losing her.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I--"

"Don't be" Sirius whispered as he kissed her temple.

Now, it was only them.

No more Thomas, no more El and no more Marls.
