"Remy! Are you ready?" She asked from outside the room.

"Uh- yes, but I'm scared!" He shouted from inside as Ruby smiled knowingly.

"Hey, come on! It's your wedding day! Man up and see her walking down the aisle." Ruby paused on her words as she felt her throat getting dry and tears prickling in her eyes.

" Isn't that why you've been waiting for this day? To see the love of your life in wedding dress, walking to you? To see the happy tears so that you could wipe those? To kiss her and finally make her yours? " Ruby said softly as Remus remained silent.

He opened the door, revealing himself in a suit as Ruby smiled with tears in her eyes. She'd never imagined that she would see her brother in his wedding suit. Heck, she thought that he wouldn't marry at all.

Ruby pulled him in a tight hug as Remus too hugged her back.

Soon, the siblings pulled back as Ruby wiped her tears.

"Oh, my mascara!" She exclaimed as she let out a breathy chuckle. Remus smoothened her hair as he pressed a kiss on her forehead.

"I love you, Ruby."

"I.. love you more, Remy, " she replied as Remus nodded his head.

"Let's go," she said. " You've waited for five years." Remus nodded his head with a smile.

"How do I look?" Ruby looked up to see her childhood best friend, all dressed up for her wedding. Once again, Ruby felt a lump in her throat. She smiled widely and nodded her head speechlessly.

"Say something," Eleanor insisted.

"I-- I don't -" Ruby stuttered as she felt her hands shivering. She was too happy and too sad to see her best friend and her brother getting married. No more childhood, no more of pulling pranks, no more funny dances.

They're no longer kids.

"Hey, come on," Eleanor said softly as she pulled Ruby in a hug. Ruby controlled her tears as she promised herself that she wouldn't make herself look like a joke. She hugged Eleanor and inhaled the comfort.

"You're my maid of honor, my bad bitch, my angel and most importantly, my best friend, Ruby Hope Lupin" Eleanor said as her eyes teared up.

"And, I can't stand you crying," Eleanor whispered. "Don't cry, love"

"I'm not" Ruby finally spoke as Eleanor chuckled.

"Yeah, sure,"

"Enough of my drama! Let's walk you down the aisle" Ruby said as she pulled away from the hug.

"There's no day for me without your drama, Ruby" Eleanor smiled as Ruby too smiled back.

"He's waiting" Ruby said as Eleanor took a deep breath and nodded her head.

She's ready.

The duo started walking down the aisle as everyone cheered and clapped their hands with a wide smile. Ruby's eyes searched for a particular person, but he was nowhere to be found.

Soon they reached the near Remus, who was a crying mess after seeing Eleanor in her wedding dress. Eleanor's eyes teared up at the sight as she elegantly wiped her tears and smiled as she stood across to him.

"Ladies and gentlement, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls, Remus John Lupin and Eleanor Clara Bingley," the priest started off the wedding ceremony. "As you make your wedding vows, remember this truth and honor it each day of your marriage. And now may I have the rings"

The couple took their vows and exchanged rings.

"You may kiss the bride" The priest said as Remus and Eleanor shared their first kiss as married couples. "Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce Mr and Mrs. Lupin!" Everyone cheered as Lyall and Hope wiped their happy tears. James was on the verge of crying, whereas Peter threw flowers at them with wide smile.

Ruby smiled widely as she clapped, but a piece of her heart searched for Sirius, who was nowhere.

"Alright! Bouquet tossing time!" Marlene yelled as she clapped her hands. Eleanor chuckled as she turned around. All of the single ladies stood in a row as they waited for the bouquet to land.

Eleanor threw the bouquet over her shoulder as Ruby and the females looked up with an excited smile.

And, it landed to Ruby. All of those smiles faded as the rest of the ladies stood aside, which made Ruby to frown. Was it a mistake that she caught the bouquet?

Suddenly, her heart started pacing faster as soon as she saw a silhouette near the entrance. She could see him with bouquet as he slowly paced his steps towards her. She knew who that was, and that was the reason why her heart was thumping faster.

Sirius stood in front of her with neatly dressed in white satin shirt and pair of black pants along with a black coat which was unbuttoned.

"Sorry for the late, love," he whispered as Ruby opened her mouth to talk, but he didn't allow her.

"Marry me, Ruby Hope Lupin," he stated as Ruby's soul left her body.

"I don't think I can live without you, Ruba. Every day, every night, all I can think is about you. I've liked you since I was thirteen and have been loving you since fifteen, and I don't think that I can be without you. Life is uncertain for us, but.. fuck it. I want you, that's it, " he confessed as his eyes teared up. Ruby's lips formed a small smile as she admired her star.

"Please, Marry me, Ruba," he muttered as the people in the hall, including the newly wedded couple, waited for her reply.

"Yes," she said as she pulled him in a passionate kiss as everyone in the hall cheered for the newly engaged couple. James burst into tears as Lily too joined him, Peter clapped his hands, Remus pulled his wife towards him and admired his sister and her fiance.

"Happy birthday, Ruby Black," Sirius whispered as the couple leaned their forehead against each other. Ruby smiled fondly as she kissed his forehead.

"Thanks for this gift, love,"

"Thanks for accepting this gift, love," Sirius slid the ring inside her ring finger as he admired it with a smile. Finally, they were engaged. It doesn't matter how long they're gonna be alive, but what matters is present.

Suddenly, Ruby fainted in his arms as everyone in the hall gasped in shock, including Sirius.
