𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑓𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑜𝑟

Ruby and Remus were playing with Sebastian and Remus was happy that the black fluffy dog was friendly with him. Sebastian launched on Remus and started licking his face which tickled him.

"Hey--- i--- " Remus's tried to form words, but he couldn't. He was laughing whole heartedly.

"Well, it seems like someone forgot me" Ruby said playfully as she walked a bit away from the dog. Sebastian's ears perked up as he got off from Remus and launched on Ruby's back as she fell on the ground with her face planted on the ground.

"Seb! Stop!" Ruby laughed out as the dog just continued to lick her ear as if he was apologising to her.

"Fine! I forgive you, now get--" as soon as those words were left from her mouth, Sebastian got off from her and ran around a tree wiggling his tail. Ruby turned her back as it was pressed on the grass. She stared at the sky, which was pleasant. Remus also joined her as he laid beside her.

"The vacation is getting bored as the days go" Ruby said as Remus agreed with her.

"Yeah, and it's gonna be my last year in Hogwarts as well" Remus added which made Ruby to get silent. She knew that her brother would be with her in the home, but now that Remus wouldn't be spending his time in school with her hurted her a little.

"What's your plan, Remy?" She asked.

"Maybe a professor for defence against dark arts... But, that wouldn't happen" Remus said with a dry chuckle.

"Why not?"

"I'm a werewolf, Ruby. I'm a monster. I could hurt the people I love and I don't want to hurt my students" Remus complained as he looked away. Ruby leaned her head on his arm which was kept under his head and side hugged him.

"You're not a monster, Remy. You're really a good human" Ruby said as Remus didn't reply.

"A loyal friend and a bad brother" she said jokingly as Remus chuckled a little. His eyes were glistening with tears. It was happy tears that at least his sister was there to comfort him at his worst.

"And since the climate is also good, why don't we take a nap?" Ruby asked with a grin as Remus nodded his head.

"Sounds good to me"

Ruby was crying.

Not because she was happy.

She was broken.

She held the little shirt closer to her chest and sobbed.

"Tom! " She heard her brother sobbing, along with Sirius.

"No... No..." Remus heard her sister's trembling voice. He immediately woke up from his sleep and realized that she was having a nightmare.

"Ruby? Get up" he said and started shaking her shoulders a little. The girl woke up with a gasp as if she wasn't able to breath in her sleep. Her cheeks were stained with tears and Ruby looked at her brother who was confused. She felt helpless at the time.

"Remy...." She muttered and embraced her brother who hugged her back as well. He was confused of her actions, but at that time his thoughts were only about making her stop crying.

She sobbed and sobbed till his tee shirt was wet because of her tears. After few minutes of crying, Ruby pulled away from her brother. Remus's hands were still around her shoulder in a supportive way.

"Are you feeling okay now?" Remus asked. She wasn't feeling okay. She wanted to say no. But her lips said the other way.

"Yeah, I'm good" she said and leaned her head on his shoulder. She convinced herself that it was just a nightmare. But, what if it was real?

What if it was the future?

What if someone dies in her arms?

What if she's a seer?
