"Professor?" Ruby asked as she entered Dumbledore's office where McGonagall was also there.

"Please be seated, Ms. Lupin" Ruby did as his request as she wondered why he'd called her this time.

"There's something important I wanted to talk with you." Ruby nodded her ears as he started talking.

"You need to quit studying." her eyes widened as her heart paced faster.

"Wha-- what?" She asked in disbelief tone. Dumbledore nodded his head as he stood up from his seat and started walking across the room with slow and small steps.

"Yes, it's for your safety as well as for the order,"

"Explain. Clearly. Professor, " Ruby said, gritting her teeth in anger.

"Voldemort might find your identity any time and I don't want anything to happen to the innocent students as well as to our order" Ruby was boiling in anger as she dug her nails in her hand and glared at him.

"You think I'll be the trouble here? You wanted to protect your innocent students, that's fine. But what about me?! I'm also a student, and I'm also a member of the order for your information, " Ruby stated as she got up from the seat.

"Ms. Lupin, Please be patient, " McGonagall said as Ruby shook her head.

"I understand--"

"You don't! You will never, Professor!" Ruby yelled as tears started to brim in her eyes. She didn't want to cry, not in the front of him to the least.

"I-- I'm just a kid! Why can't my life be normal like others?" Ruby said as her voice quivered. Dumbledore remained silent.

"I thought that finally things were falling into place, and now this?..." she trailed on. "Professor, please ... can I not discontinue my studies? I want to learn... I want to become a teacher. " she broke down she she buried her face using her hands.

McGonagall immediately stood up from the chair and held the girl in her arms in a comforting way.

"Please... please... you can't just take away everything from me..." Ruby mumbled as McGonagall rubbed her back in circles as she looked at Dumbledore with pleading eyes.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lupin. That's the final discussion. " Ruby pulled away from McGonagall as she wiped her tear stained cheeks and stared at Dumbledore with cold eyes.

"So, this is my last day?"

"I suppose it is." Ruby nodded her head as she gulped her saliva.

"Can I at least come for training?" Dumbledore nodded his head at her question.

"Thanks for having me," she said to McGonagall as she left the room.

"This is not fair, Albus," McGonagall said in a displeased manner.

"Everything's fair in love and war, Minerva."

"You're leaving?!" The marauders shouted in disbelief as Ruby stood idle.

"That's impossible! You can't do that!" Lily rebuked as James nodded his head. Ruby scoffed as she looked at them.

"Have you tried talking to Professor?" Remus asked.

"You think I haven't tried?" She said as she remembered the way she begged him.

"Girl, I'm not leaving you," Marlene stated as Ruby faked a little smile.

"Ruby... there should be some way to let you study here... this is utter bullshit " Eleanor said as her eyes teared up.

"I have... to pack my things... see you guys in the great hall, " Ruby said as she escaped from them and went inside her dorm, which was empty. She started packing her dresses, her uniform and everything.

Once she cleared her room, she looked at her bed, which was neat and not messy. She flinched when she heard someone slamming the door. Ruby turned behind to see Sirius.

"Hey," she said as Sirius just pulled her in a hug. Ruby tried herself not to cry, but she couldn't help herself when she felt the warmth and comfort from him. She hugged him back and cried on his chest, to which Sirius kept his chin above her head and caressed her hair.

"I--"

"Don't say anything," he said. "Just cry as much as you want. I'm right here, "

Ruby knew that she could still meet him and the others, but what about her education? What would she say to her parents? What about her future? Everything was destroyed just because of a person and his obsession with controlling the world.

Ruby was furious, and she was so sure that the day she encounters him, she'll kill him for taking away her happiness. Or at least she'll try to.

So, Ruby's gonna discontinue her studies....
