White Flowers for Daisy

I once knew a kid from the other side of the village
Sweet as honey, bright as the sunshine, charming as a fairy
And everyday, she would pick flowers from the white field
While saying, 'I'll give this to everyone. Look, they're lovely'

An innocent kid, whom even the sun, the wind, the blossoms, loved dearly
That even the field of paradise have held her existence dearly
Alas, the kind princess, even the petals she held left every memory
It was never the same again after the cruelest of storms have entered her garden entirely

Wretched, destructive and the coldest of snows froze her heart
It left no traces of warmth, even the chill sets her entire being apart
Washing, waving, crashing rains and and the cruelest of thunderstorms
The face of her garden turned into a full-blown chaos

Now, I'm kneeling at her once beautiful garden
There she lays, upon a vast field where the sun never stopped shining
In my hand, holds a treasure of memories and love unsaid, untold, saying 'sorry'
For failing to save the kid from a cruel world, I laid down white flowers for Daisy

Writer's note:
If you don't know, this poem is about the kids' innocence being robbed off of them during adulthood.

Stay strong. Let's survive well. :>
