So, Ellie, I really meant what I said when I really enjoyed your moments about Detective Mode being OP, especially when Steven uses it to find Spinel's 'breadcrumbs.' After getting Samuel's permission, I got this video to show you how Detective Mode that's similar to that scene to show you how it works (and anyone else if they want to, as well).

Enjoy the chapter!

Third Person Omniscient.

Moonlight was invited to a hotel, it's called the Royal Hotel in the Diamond District. Much like what the name implies, it is a prestigious hotel that Moonlight could have acquired if she had played her cards right. It's a hotel designed for even the Diamonds to lounge in...

That was the intention during the construction of the Royal Hotel. When the Diamonds expressed that they would not step foot in their hotel, they scrapped the intention and made it to where the hotel was taller than the Diamonds at their enormous height, indicating that it is the largest hotel in the world. Enough about the building's history, the more concerning part is that Moonlight was invited there.

Moonlight had never been to the Royal Hotel before, because she was still a bit salty from the fact that the building slipped through her fingers figuratively. But today, out of the blue, she got a message from a contact that had an unknown name telling her that she was cordially invited for a meeting at the penthouse in the Royal Hotel. She would have discarded the message, but then she saw at the very end of the message that said:

Please come if you hate Steven Universe.

This gave Moonlight the impression that this is a meeting about discussing the hatred of Steven. This sounded like her kind of meeting, but she didn't like the fact that she's going to be conversing with other gems with their own personal hatred of the hybrid. This meant that she would be talking with the rebels from the rebellion.

A rebellion that was formed by the former high-rank gems from Era-2 that hated being reduced to an 'equal' gem. Moonlight was too prideful to join the rebellion, because the leaders are just petty, power-hungry, washed-up soldiers who thrived in the pugilistic era. Unlike them, Moonlight's career and status wasn't affected by Era-3.

Her interest was stronger than her disgust with the rebels, so she's coming to the hotel. Moonlight didn't bother to use some sort of vehicle of transportation, the Royal Hotel was within walking distance. So, she left Crystal Entertainment and began her short walk. A thought just occurred to her, how did the rebels get inside the Royal Hotel?

There's no way the owners would allow the rebels entry. So, they must have broken in and booked out the hotel. Not that it would deter Moonlight, it wasn't her building so she didn't care.

After battling through the snow, Moonlight enters the Royal Hotel and sees an empty lobby that looks like everyone was evacuated, everyone that worked for the place. Naturally, Moonlight went to the elevator because she knew that there would be nobody on the bottom floor. She was taken to the second floor, to which had a bunch of rebel gems congregating and providing security.
