Here's a quick lesson before we begin. In English (the school subject), there are many perspectives of narrating. There is first person, second person and third person narration.

First person revolves around the main character themself, or someone else who uses the words "me" and "I" when describing themself.

Second person means someone is telling the story to you, which is indicated when they say "you."

Third person is essentially reading the story, and doesn't refer to themself at all. The third person choices are limited and omniscient. Limited third person is exactly what it sounds like, third person but with limited knowledge of what's going on, essentially as if the narrator is the reader as well.

Omniscient third person is the author telling you the story, as if they're commentating it as they read it to you and they know all the ups and downs, even the twists. This can be used to give out subtle hints at future events without the readers realizing until they look back.

And, just to clear up one more thing, for Ellie. The 'person omniscient' isn't the P and O in P.O.V. The acronym is Point Of View. So, the V isn't missing, because the POV isn't there. :)

Another thing to clear up for Ellie, the Trophy Steven collects in the previous chapter isn't for Squaridot, it's for him to collect, as it's a reference to the original Arkham Edition where Steven collects Squaridot's trophies to defeat her.

That is also a reference to the Batman Arkham games where Batman collects Riddler Trophies to defeat the Riddler in every Arkham game.

And I also apologize for skipping over Steven's first night on Homeworld, I didn't want to get stuck on that for too long, since mostly everything that happened is that Steven beats up everybody and changes the world, and nothing mattered much other than Steven creating a lot of enemies that will stop at nothing to see him dead.

And finally, Ellie, I love it when you geek out about Detective Mode, because it was one hundred taken from the Batman Arkham games as well. And much like you have been saying, it is very OP. The best part? It doesn't get nerfed in any of the Arkham games. :)

Third Person Omniscient.

In the Palace, White Diamond came out of her room and made sure nobody was around. Her room was off limits to everyone, except her pearl. Her pearl goes by the name 'Volleyball,' because of her favorite sport, Volleyball.

A weird nickname to have, but White Diamond won't judge.

"Hey, White."

White Diamond flinched and quickly spun around to face the voice she heard from behind her. It was a human that she had adopted, not traditionally. She found this human at her doorstep after being delivered there by Obsidian.

From there, Obsidian found him at Red Crystal's Bar when she was breaking up a bar fight. So, White Diamond took him in and learned that he has no home on Earth. She offered him Pink Diamond's room in the Palace, earning slight disapproval from Yellow and Blue Diamond, and then she realizes that Samuel could help her with her social interaction with lower lifeforms-- Sorry, equal lifeforms.
