After looking back and receiving a constructive criticism I was deeply embarrassed by the product I had made in chapter one. Much like White Diamond, i decided to purge my flaw for the sake of perfection. The original chapter isn't deleted, it is just unpublished and I replaced it with this so I don't confuse and bore my audience to death.
I am so sorry for this, I tried too hard when I was writing and made it too confusing. Even I'm not fully comprehending what I wrote. I feel terrible for dragging Samuel152 into this so he could rewrite the fight scene for me since he has more experience in that than me (and because he's better than me ;v;).
And it pains me to know that this made him stop writing so he could help me. Anyway, enough of my pity party and here is something that is actually comprehensible to the audience instead of me being a try-hard.
And, Ellie, I need to give credit where credit is due: most of the things you praised the chapter for were Samuel's ideas.
The snow cycle on Homeworld wasn't my idea. It was his idea that I took from the Telltale Steven Universe (the original).
The Diamond District and the other districts in Homeworld weren't my ideas, they were directly taken from the Batman Arkham games (Samuel even said that to me in a comment).
And like how it was explained how Moonlight got her flesh-addiction, that was also Samuel because I asked him why Moonlight eats people.
Everything about Moonlight's origin story was already in-use of her character in the original Arkham Edition, Samuel just didn't reveal them yet at the time because wanted to keep Moonlight's past vague, like how he kept her creation a total secret and wouldn't tell me.
And the Mini-White Diamond was intentional on Samuel's part, because the Moonlight in the cover was White Diamond in a different universe (before she even debuted in the show) and he fell in love with it - which resulted in him creating Moonlight months after finding her.
Once again, proving that he should have written this instead of me - especially since Moonlight is his character and he knows what to do with her.
Third Person Omniscient.
Moonlight is currently leaning back in a computer chair at the very top floor of Crystal Entertainment, her office because she owns the building. She moved her hands behind her head in further relaxation to pass the time.
And then she glanced over to her balcony to watch the snow pile up at the door outside, she was bored out of her mind. She propped her legs on her desk and looked up at her ceiling.
She reminisces from how she started out and led up to what she is now. It was a long time ago, and Moonlight was a common gem, like any other gem, who worked long hours and days for Yellow Diamond. She used to be quite skinny compared to the other gems, and she couldn't help it since she was made that way. Nobody, not even the Diamonds, knew where she came from but all that mattered was that she was another gem that was capable of doing work.
However, Moonlight aspired to be a big-shot, like the Diamonds and the perfect quartz: Jasper. But she also knew that the chances of that were very slim. The only way to get rich and respect on Homeworld is with fear and to achieve fear, you must be stronger than most gems.
Gems couldn't 'gain' strength, so that meant whoever was naturally strong would take the lead. Intelligence would be a pleasant bonus, but most gems aren't looking for that since their peridots and the Diamonds are the ones with intelligence - so everyone else is just simple-minded brutes. Moonlight 'resigned' from her job under Yellow Diamond's employment and disappeared for a long time, long enough to be forgotten.
