Chapter Thirty-One: Dinner Preparations

You ever wonder how Moonlight runs Crystal Entertainment while she is governor? Well today is your lucky day to find out.

Moonlight still maintains Crystal Entertainment by overseeing its media and production while she did the usual paperwork such as governor in her office. Crystal Entertainment is due for another form of entertainment - whether it would be a show about songs, stand-up comedy or an education channel.

Moonlight decided to do a music show, since they had enough education and comedy around. Everyone loves music on Homeworld, especially good music.

So she left auditions for the singers and composers to show her what they got. The composers showed potential and promise, so most of them passed. Then came to the singers and - oh boy - were they boring to her.

"Garbage..." Moonlight sighs as she pressed a button to illuminate the entire room in red and a loud buzzer sounds off to interrupt their performance.

And then she moves on to the next performers... before doing the same thing she did earlier when they only got thirty seconds into their song. And then she does it again for the next few, and again... and again... and again until there was no more left.

She just felt so irritable today, she wasn't sure why. But then she got a painful reminder in her belly, feeling it pinging her insides like she forgot to do something utmost important. She really, really needs to eat human flesh to get better - or else she will start destroying everything around her.

"Okay everybody, let's take a two hour break before we resume business." Moonlight sighs as she rubbed her belly to appease its hunger. "I'm going out."

Nobody questioned where she was going, they assumed she had important matters to take care of at the Palace since she's governor. But the reality of the situation is that she's going to Earth.

She plans to snag a human or two for lunch, since she couldn't eat that one human bounty hunter she encountered a few hours ago. Speaking of which, she heard from her own news channel that the rebellion suffered a major loss of troops and equipment due to an unknown explosion.

Steven and Obsidian apprehended most of the rebels and only the leaders managed to escape their sights. She smiled at the news because of two things.

One of them being that the human is honoring their bargain so far by pretty much eliminating the rebellion's numbers and will eventually bring her Spinel. The second reason for her delight is she got to see Steven's face on the screen... and imagined her teeth digging into his face to bite his nose off.

Though, that's what her natural instincts are telling her. She would also do something different to him if he was right in front of her... something that can't be documented on television.

Anyways, Moonlight is searching for food on planet Earth, But she needs to be really careful with who she picks to eat. She can't just snatch the first human she finds, she needs to make sure that it won't come back to her.

If she chooses a human who has a lot of family or friends, there's a chance Steven might catch a whiff of her trail and then he tells the Diamond Authority about her condition which would force them to give her the boot and most likely face severe imprisonment.
