Samuel152Just to clear up some confusion, according to Samuel in the original Arkham Edition (by reading the story and not quoting him), the Diamonds still have their humongous height from the show, it's just that White Diamond used Yellow Diamond's powers to help her fit in with society, since it is difficult for her to do that while being 90 feet tall, according to her profile in the character bios.
Diamond Heights (source is the character bios):
White Diamond, 6 feet [formally 90 feet]
Yellow Diamond, 48' 10" (48 feet and 10 inches).
Blue Diamond, 43' 1" (43 feet and one inch).
Pink Diamond, 12' 8" (12 feet and 8 inches).
And I just want to thank Samuel again for allowing me access to his document of the original Arkham Edition (the rewrite) to use for Squaridot, since I didn't want to go to Batman Arkham Videos and rewatch the Riddler's side mission from Arkham City. :)
Third Person Omniscient.
Steven and Moonlight were plummeting down to the ground after their brawl from the library. Steven was unsure how he could find a way to save himself, and possibly Moonlight, from this kind of fall as there was nothing he had on his person that would save them. Unless...
Steven glances over at Moonlight who was having a silent panic as well during the fall, because even she couldn't survive a six hundred foot drop. Steven looks at the Royal Hotel, realizing that there are windows to other rooms and bedrooms. Steven dives towards Moonlight, wrapping his arms around her and startling the gem as she wasn't expecting Steven to suddenly hug her while they were falling to their death.
Apparently, this wasn't a hug as Steven had shoved her so she could crash into a bedroom through the window and break Steven's fall. Both of them took a second to process what was going on, because it all happened so fast for them. They caught each other looking at the other one in the eyes, being silent and another purple blush spreads across Moonlight's face, except this time Steven can see it.
She was on top of a bed with Steven on top of her in a suggestive way that could indicate something titillating. Even though Steven was taking a moment to process this, he didn't expect to be on top of her like this. He wasn't blushing, either because he wasn't thinking what she was thinking or his gray face forbade him from having even a small pink blush on his face.
Before any of them could get comfortable, Steven crawls off of Moonlight and gets back on his feet. Both of them looked away from each other. Moonlight's adrenaline and cravings subsided when she felt this weird feeling that occurred when she saw that Steven was on top of her. D-Did her withdrawal syndrome go away because Steven was close to her?
Is Steven the cure to her headaches and feral state? She wasn't so sure anymore. Yesterday and a few minutes ago, she hated him and wanted to kill him in the most brutal way possible. Now, she's conflicted with him again.
Aside from him lying down on her chest and belly, he saved her life. And that alone was making her doubt her negative feelings of him.
"Why..." Moonlight stutters. "Why... Why would you do that?"
