Third Person Omniscient.

Steven and Rose had been talking quite frequently for the past month (remember the time skip in the last chapter). Through their conversations, Steven hardly had any new knowledge of the flower. Rose, on the other hand, has gotten lots of information about him.

Steven learns about how Rose could do almost anything in the universe. The flower, herself, said, "I could do almost anything. Sometimes, I need a small sample of an object to do something. But other than that, I can do practically anything that comes to mind."

And ever since she told him that, he wanted to see if he could, perhaps, ask her for some favors.

It might sound selfish for him to want to use her magic for some stuff, but it's not like he's pretending to make progress with her for that. He still wants to help her, and if she allows him to request her supernatural abilities for something, that would be a nice bonus.

Today, he's finally ready to ask her.

He pressed the chest of the little plush doll and Rose materialized out of thin air in front of him. She appears to be drinking tea from a teacup and then she calmly made it disappear.

"Yes?" Rose inquires, a bit annoyed he interrupted her teatime.

"I... I wanted to know if I could ask you for a favor." Steven tapped his fingers together.

"A favor?" If Rose had eyebrows, she would raise one of them.

"If you don't mind..." Steven replied softly.

"What are you asking?" Rose asks, her voice reaching to a low.

"I wanted... I wanted to know if you could resurrect Spinel..." Steven replied softer than Rose. "Sh-She's been dead for five months... And I was wondering if you could do it..."

He thought she was going to look or sound offended, but she surprised him by laughing a little bit.

"Silly boy, I can't resurrect gems who are alive."

Steven's heart dropped. "Wha... What?"

"I can't bring Spinel back if she's not dead." Rose reiterates. "Did I stutter?"

Steven looked down at the ground, and then felt a fire lit within him. Without knowing what he was doing, he immediately sprints out of his house using his superspeed.

Worried, Rose floats after him. "Steven, wait!"

Homeworld:

After Arkham City closed, Moonlight escaped and went back to Crystal Entertainment. But she had stayed in her office ever since then and only ran orders through her employees to keep her business alive.

Why was she doing this? Well, it's not exactly an easy answer.

Moonlight was baffled at how Steven managed to escape her clutches - she made sure it was impossible for him to move and use his powers. But she wouldn't worry about that too much, she's more concerned with how she's going to hurt him.

She embraces the fact that she gets a kick out of hurting him - she even calls it a kink. Hurting Steven just felt so good, like it was something she never knew she needed to do. It doesn't even have to be physical, it could also be mental or psychological.
