Obsidian was summoned to investigate a disturbance over in the Diamond District. Witnesses say they spotted rebels rummaging around. Both Steven and Obsidian were desperate to keep their presence to a minimum so they do not grow in large numbers again.

So any rebel activity was to be taken seriously and handled as fast as possible - give them no room to breathe. Steven is currently unavailable for some reason, which is why Obsidian is here instead. She looks down at the small group of rebels hiding in an alley.

"Did they see us?!" A frightened quartz asked.

"How should I know?!" A timid ruby replied. "You're the one who was supposed to be on lookout."

"I think they did!" A hessonite exclaimed. "Oh stars! They're gonna send one of those do-gooders after us!"

"It was bad enough that they got most of us at Arkham City, but we're still taking a beatin' from them!" The quartz crouches down to hide behind an object. "Maybe if we just stay here and keep quiet, they won't find us."

"Good plan." The ruby agrees and hushes up.

Obsidian jumps down from the high ground and lands softly on the pavement behind them. Her shadow from the moonlight revealed her figure and shape to them - scaring the pants off of them.

"Look out! It's Obsidian!" The ruby cried.

"Shatter her!" The quartz points with a shaky finger.

Obsidian needed to save one of them to question the rebellion's current plans - that way they can stay one step ahead of them. She used to have a little fun with small groups of enemies like this.

But now she doesn't want to play anymore - she just wants to inflict pain on someone.

She stomped on top of the ruby and squashed her with her sneaker like she was a large marshmallow. She nearly stepped on the ruby's gem back accident - but that didn't worry her.

The vigilante quickly targets the hessonite next. She grabbed and yanked the hessonite while keeping the quartz at bay with her foot. Obsidian finally kicked the quartz back with her sneaker and then wrapped her arms around the hessonite's neck.

The hessonite panicked. "N-No, wa--"

Obsidian snapped her neck and she poofed - making an unsatisfactory crunching noise when her head turned.

The quartz desperately tried crawling away, but the hero stomped on her back and made her body flop in a stupid-looking way. Aggressively, Obsidian snatches her up from the ground to hold her up high with both of her arms at the rebel's collar.

"Tell me your leaders' plans..." Obsidian demanded calmly, the scary-looking eyes appearing behind her cowl.

"Never!" She tried to boldly attack Obsidian, but the hero quickly seized her hand and flips the rebel over her shoulder to land uncomfortably on the snow.

While the rebel was dazed, Obsidian picked up one of her legs and ruthlessly snapped it in half - putting enough care into the break that it wouldn't poof the gem.

"Tell me... or I will hurt you more..." Obsidian demanded once again, ignoring the rebel's scream of agony.

"I don't know!" She yelled through the swelling tears in her eyes. "I don't know anything! We don't have a plan! We're still in shambles after Arkham City!"
